Deji has started two games this year....in those two starts he is 6-15 for 15 points. He is the perfect player to come off of the bench.... that must be why KD gives him his 18 minutes a night with the 2nd unit. I don't know what stats jump out that say "Start Deji." You point out that he and Pat lead the team in FT's and something is wrong when the Zips only take 6 FTs in a game, Deji played the 3rd most minutes vs OU and only got to the line once. Everyone has a role on a team, just because Deji started 6-6 vs OU doesn't immediately change his role to a starter 22 games into the season. Deji's job is to provide a spark off of the bench and he does that pretty well.
