The Zips never adjusted to MT attacking the back door in the paint -- which is why they shot 55%. The Zips live and die by the 3. The Zips didn't attack the basket on offense, MT did....can't blame the refs. If the Zips attack, they get calls too. The TO with 14 seconds left was a bad one. It gave MT a chance to set up to guard the 3 point line,,,,which they did and that is the reason they didn't get a shot off. I said to my buddy near the end of the game "it's funny how everyone is complaining about the refs." The fouls were even. Get over it folks, KD got out coached. He had no answer for the inside play of MT.

It happens to every team in every game.... all teams go through droughts. (Penn St only scored 3 points in the first four mins of the game). I understand your point though and it does seem that the Zips go through longer than normal periods. I know moral victories don't count BUT, this was a nice road trip and a good start to the season. I was wrong to think that this team would struggle to be .500.

That is a good win for the Zips! It's obviously tough to lose your best player but it was nice to see them step up and win by 20 while not shooting well. Now hopefully they can play well against Miami (most likely) tomorrow.

Yes, and 15 of those wins come from teams ranked 150+ in RPI. They did not beat a team ranked inside the top 100 in RPI and their SOS was 235th (out of 349) last year.

I hope they can get to 16 wins. With the MAC games being as close as they usually are (usually within 10 points) those 4 point wins could easily turn to 4 point losses. I am gonna say they will get to 16 wins and finish above .500 -- but they have to win at least one this weekend in Charleston, beat Penn State and win all of the home games against the bad teams that are coming in (Bluffton, Bryant, Coppin St, Pine Bluff) in order to do that.

I absolutely do not want the program to fail. Lets see: Q beat up his GF and was kicked out of school and he came back.... Nick was failing drug test after drug test and was kept around.... KD was fighting and fighting to allow Alex to be allowed to come back to the program.... I never said anything negative about Tree. All that I said was that Akronzip71 will probably not defend Tree when the facts come out. As a fan and supporter, am I out of line to question some of the decisions that they've made to keep (or try to keep) players around that have been in trouble? Sorry if I am not a 2,000+ poster who defends everything that they do.

You will feel as dumb as you sound when the facts do come out, trust me.

I would say that the total attendance numbers are top 5 in the MAC (which isn't saying much.) To me the 1/2 full (and that is being generous) sections behind the hoop doesn't pass the eye test, it looks bad. If the students don't want to sit there, let groups of kids sit down there. They would love it and they would be louder anyways.

Nice crowd and the student sections behind the hoops are 1/2 full. What a joke. Should be first come first serve behind the hoops. That way real fans will be down there....ones that don't need a dry erase board to tell them what to say during the opposing teams line up. The student section won't work because the students don't go to the games, not because of the way the seating is set up.

Now is the time of the year when all the pieces seem to fall in place. Hopefully it will happen again this year and they can make a nice run to end the MAC season and take it in to the Q.
