Teams like Akron, Houston, Texas Arlington, etc play inspired in the NIT. Teams like Syracuse, Indiana, BYU, etc don't care about the NIT until later in the tournament. Most fans don't care about the NIT.

I don't think any informed Zips fan would ever argue that the UA isn't willing to blow spend money.

Winning last night sure didn't help our plea for these types of games..... UA just became even more "poisonous."

Zips Nation, I have to confess, this is all my fault. At the end of my favorite NFL teams season, I took down the flag on 1/27 from my flagpole and replaced it with my Akron flag.....and the rest is history. I am sorry about this and today I plan to take down the now ripped flag - after all of the heavy winds, not the bad losses - and hope that the curse goes away in time. I am now taking suggestions/donations of any flag that you'd like flown at my house! Feeling guilty in Akron

Was it last year or the year before that there were folks on ZNO blasting the RPI rankings and saying how big of a joke the RPI is and to follow the Kenpom because it is a better formula and makes so much more sense? To me they all suck - Kenpom, RPI & Bracketology. The so called experts have no clue. They aren't watching these teams. My formula is simple..... Play a tougher OCC & win some games, win the MAC tournament, win a couple of games in the NCAA tourney and earn your own respect. Quit relying on some stupid spreadsheet!

The AK-Rowdies had one of their players score after that and they chanted "he's a sophomore" in illogically dumb fashion. Also, our chant was louder." LOL, I have always said that the Rowdies are unoriginal and lame. I was at that game and remember the Rowdies getting shut up by those 40 fans. The Rowdies were more focused on the chants that the Buffalo students were throwing at them than the game.

The only surprise in this is how long it has taken. Pro & College sports have become such a big business. These organizations/schools would be dumb not to take the money and put logos on their jerseys.

Yes, but you also can't assume that just because they go to St V that they are going to go to UA and you don't have to make an effort to the recruiting process. The kids want to go through the process.

Who cares if it was a cheap call on BD or not (I happen to think it was something that the refs couldn't ignore) ..... Why was he laying a shoulder into the guy 50' away from the ball? That's the point.

Not a betting man but if I were... I wouldn't take UA in these games.
