I was only listening but it sounded like a lot of our missed 3s led to breakouts for CMU. The game definitely sped up in the 2nd half....to our detriment.
Sounds like they battled hard though.
I don't mind the afternoon games. However, unless you are a season ticket holder you wouldn't know what day the game is, let alone what time.
Where is the marketing of this team?
Absolutely correct. Defense and rebounding both require effort.
I was disappointed with Groce's post game comments. He didn't voice any concern with effort at all.
Pretty good ball movement. Not surprised by number of 3s. Nature of the beast against the zone. Need a little better spacing and to finish strong at the hoop when the opportunities are there.
2nd half let's cut down on the turnovers and I think all will be ok,
Great game! Especially the 2nd half. So encouraging to see the guys attack the hoop aggressively. Something that has been missing for too long. They were able to truly leverage their athleticism instead of negating it by jacking 3s early in the shot clock.
Keep it up. GO ZIPS!!!
I think THUG is a more accurate description. But then again this has been Kent's M.O. for as long as I can remember. They always have at least one on the roster.
To me the Zips defensive intensity dropped off a bit in the 2nd half. I also think our coaches overcoached a bit. I saw at least one late possession where the team seemed confused.
