I was suggesting more of a different approach. Maybe Marc Is not necessarily the best answer. So tired of zones pushing us out to desperation 3s that have very little chance of going In.

More offensive woes against the zone. Groce will need a response come MAC play. How about a little Kostalac in the high post?

Disappointing 2nd half, obviously. Until we crack the code on zone defenses, I think we can expect to see much more of them going forward. More movement on offense, especially without the ball, might be a good place to start. Anyone know game time and TV for today's game?

Yep. Nothing like taking the crowd out of the game after a nice run. Those pre-scripted events should ONLY happen during media timeouts.

mes102, Couldn't agree more. I was at the EMU game in Ypsilanti and BD played the high post almost exclusively (against 2-3 zone). Many more passing options and the rest of the team seemed to be much more active without the ball. Lots of slashing and scoring from Jimond and others, as I recall. Not to mention the wide open jumpers you would expect to get against the zone. It was probably the Zips best offensive performance of the season. Definitely the most fun to watch :-)

I think the committee decided first, and foremost, who the home teams were to be. Then the seeding then fell out of that. It's the only logical explanation IMHO.

Quite likely. I certainly didn't see any 'hack-a-dog' last night. However, I think our style of play, being more aggressive to the hoop, was the more dominant factor.

30 free throw attempts (and 23 makes)! Huge impact on the outcome. Amazing what attacking the rim can do for you. Keep it up Zips!
