  1. The next couple if years should be pretty exciting to watch for Zips football. It's too bad people cannot get over themselves to see it.
  2. Offense with 388 yards, so far today. They have adjusted nicely but the D has not been able to stop the Ohio run. Boogie Knight has been a significant addition to special teams and offense. Between he, William, and Stewart, Kato should have a good year, next year.
  3. Won't you all be disappointed when Bowden stays?
  4. Which goes to show you how important it is for the QB and receivers to have reps together.
  5. Buffalo did not protect the ball. Even good teams have those weeks.
  6. There were a few digs at Alex. They may have been deleted, but in real time, they were there.
  7. Knight's determination to score reminds me of the NFL's smallest player...
  8. Takes a lot of guts for a parent to come here, knowing people are going to be taking swipes at your kid. Looking forward to watching Alex grow into the position.
  9. Fearless forecast: Zips leading rusher has over 100 yards.
  10. Remind me how to block a person? I am tired of having to read the same negative crap from the same people on every thread. No need to join in their misery.
  11. When you listen to any analyst, outside of Akron, they pretty much rave at the success Bowden has had. But seriously, does every single thread have to be monopolized by the few with unrealistic expectations?
  12. Probability?
  13. I guess I do bot have some psychological need to cast blame, I can accept that sometimes things work out beyond what can be mitigated. In other words, I am more pragmatic. Blame does not translate to accountability, it just transfers your responsibility for your emotional response to someone else.
  14. Whatever...the same people keep harping on the same points that we already have 2 other threads devoted to beating the dead horse. It really gets old. This is G5 life, folks. and it isn't going to change. The NCAA is content to let talented kids sit on P5 benches and never see the light of day while their coaches promise them a chance they will never get.
  15. It's a good thing....they have a better ability to see big piccture than some, here, who blame every single loss on coaching.
  16. I do not think they had a lot of choice in the gameplan. You seem to have pretty unrealistic expectations of what a freshman QB wuth nomial real game experience can and cannot do, well. Bowden bet that the best chance of winning was with the D. That seems pretty reasonable, given the situation.
  17. I do not know why the meltdowns from fans still surprise me, but they do.... 1 week if practice does not equate to game time snaps. Regarding Ramart and the coaches: Woodson, 2014 against Ball State threw 1 TD and 4 INTs. Yesterday, Ramart threw 3 INTs and had 0 touchdowns. Say what you want, but we saw yesterday was a kid who had not taken many live snaps and a game plan that did not get him into any kind of rhythm. Bowden was playing to keep this a low scoring game and hope the D could win it for us. When we got behind, we had to let Ramart take throws that could hurt us if we wanted any shot of winning. It is tough to take a QB loss, but what happened yesterday was predictable. Kato did well against Ohio because they were totally unprepared for his running game (per Ohio players.) The game after Ohio, Nelson only threw the ball 20 times...pretty close to Ramart's attempts yesterday. You have a smaller playbook at your disposal with a less experienced player. Why you w az nt to fire Milwee and Bowden after that, is beyond me. I guess you expect them to play God and heal Kato or turn a freshman QB into a veteran. It is what it is folks, bad luck.
  18. Nothing more painful than watching a new QB learning, the hard way. Tommy and Kato both have seen games like this.
  19. Yes and no. On the one hand, I agree, no harm, no foul. On the other hand, I do think it helps keep players in check. Bell does not have a great on or off of the field history of controlling his temper.
  20. Amazing what calling an unexpected play call will do.
  21. Awesome...one if my favorite Zips.
  22. Will we see KN1 in the second half?
  23. We need to let Ramart throw down field and maybe call a QB draw.we are so fenced in we cannot dig out this way.
  24. It is sort of unbelievable that EMU only has 7 points and that this is still a game.
  25. Good call. Let's put some speed in the backfield and run a reverse. We need some help to take the pressure off of Ramart.
