Yeah, it could give either way if Ramart starts. Last game is not a fair way to judge him. He came into a game in progress, cold, without a lot of reps with the first team. It was also a gameplan built for Kato. To some degree I have noticed teams struggle against a backup because if the lack of film on him.

I am guessing we will see KN1, tomorrow. In the post-game presser last week, he mentioned that he watched a lot more film in prep for NIU. Let's hope this is a new tradition for him.

KN1 was asked by someone (forget who) during the presser after CMU if he would be back next week and he indicated he would cut Bowden quickly sid, "He doesn't know. He will wake up tomorrow and that will be really sore." Sounds like there is a chance but Bowden will not tip his hand.

It is hard to totally blame the refs, here. It seems almost like this is a calibration year to establish what they will and will not call. I actually thought the unsportsmanlike call was more worthy if targeting than the initial hit. That being said, the league should not have issued that statement and if the reverse it, that is not right unless they want to go back and reverse all of the lame calls all year. It would have been better and more fair to the ref to keep as an inernal discussion for officials.

Ramart is also likely playing with a limited playbook. I agree with the calls. Give him a chance to win the game. Do not put him in to play safe football. That would show you have no confidence in the kid. I was happy he threw the TD, first. The game will come to him with a little more live action. That being said, Kato sealed himself, as the starter, again, with a good performance last night. I think it was the first time we had 4 good quarters from him.

You have to take a shot at winning. With little time left, you do not have a lot of options. He probably has not taken a ton of reps in practice with the 1's since the season started. Ramart will improve and no doubt, he learned a ton in a short time, tonight. Tough to lose your QB at a critical juncture in a game. No matter how good your backup is, the rhythm is broken.
