  1. I agree. I hope the team interacts with them so they have a great experience.
  2. You probably my won't seem them, again. The helmets were impossible to keep looking nice and the new Navy uniforms Trump the black ones. From what I understand, the black uniforms and chrome helmets were pretty much expected to bridge the gap until the new navy and white uniforms were purchased.
  3. I think they generally like them taking 1-2 classes to help them acclimate without the pressure of the season and to enable them to take lighter schedules during the season. I don't think you can be considered an official part of the team until you are enrolled, which means taking classes. I might be mixing up some info here, however.
  4. I actually asked a player about this. He disagreed. He said TW is not a workout workhorse but said he is a true leader and we'll liked by the team.
  5. How many kids on scholarship.graduated last year or left the program?
  6. This is an encouraging update. He is a game changer, for us. I have also heard that Chapman continues to make solid progress as a WR and that Stewart should be a solid WR. I would imagine that all eyes will be on Wolf, so we will need another guy or two who can make catches. I thought Gladney made some progress last year and Coney came up with some nice grabs, with limited looks.
  7. I understand this sentiment, completely. Let me see passes being caught and tackles being made. I know they can't practice, right now, but it's hard to buy into the hype with the reservations I have about 2017. I hope my reservations are completely unfounded.
  8. I recently spoke with a a current Zips FB player who indicated that Tommy has exceptional football IQ that sets him apart. He is able to call the right play from the line of scrimmage. If he is back to his usual form, we can win some games.
  9. Looks like about the same size crowd as they usually get. Coach Sleeve hails from Mt. Union.
  10. I think he might have the most talent; decision making will remain to be seen.
  11. I am not sure I follow. He has graduated in May so he doesn't need to be released by his old program, he is free to go.
  12. According to this article, he was 6 ' 3" as a high school senior. Max preps lists him as 6' 3" 220lbs as a HS senior, too. If he grew to be 6'5" or 6' 6", he would be around Big Ben's height and that is a tough size to take down. If they got the height wrong, 6' 3" is still decent, lol.
  13. Thanks @Dr Z that was a terrific write-up!
  14. Nice article about Isaiah Williams: http://m.redskins.com/s/30856/376?itemUri=1963368202/1212412994137734911658141013
  15. I don't think this game will be a barometer of how good we are or are not. PSU is going to be really tough and I expect a blowout.
  16. They do more of those activities on fan appreciation day.
  17. Most of the WMU new traditions are probably DOA since PJ took his oar and left. The band is great at football games and there is really nothing they need to do differently. Kudos to them for bearing through crappy weather and last year's crappy season. They have improved and enhanced the fan experience each year for the last 3 years, IMHO.
  18. The article on Natson seemed to capture Natson pretty well. He had an extraordinary will to win and make plays. I am really pleased to see him get this chance.
  19. Well, I don't care about the bar experience. I don't need to drink to enjoy football. And I go to a football game for football, so I don't need a lot else to do. The Creamery will have some incredible ice cream and the band does. Pregame show in the events center. I enjoy the tradition of watching the team do their pre-game walk, too. As far as loud, it wasn't as loud as the games normally are, but that was partly because we held them very close until Q4. PSI games normally sell out, this wasn't sold out. I think Neyland is louder but these P5 schools don't respect us and I don't expect their fans to, either. Heck our own fans don't respect the team a lot of the time. I guess I expect for traffic to be a nightmare and to have to walk a mile after parking, so no big deal for me. I made it a day trip because I ibew tge hotel scene would be a nightmare. I usually try to stay in town, with friends who live there or make it a day trip.
  20. From what I have heard, we aren't going to win without Tommy. Scholarships have a way of opening up when they need He was a 4 star recruit by all of the major recruiting sites. If he can be a solid back-up or even a competitor, bring him in to camp.
  21. This is a great road trip - the fans are really great, here and the game day experience is exceptional.
  22. I would ordinarily agree with you, but Tennessee is packed with talent at QB, right now.
  23. I wonder if it hurt Scott that he saw few highlights because everyone avoided throwing near him last year? I can't imagine he won't get an invite to someone's camp.
  24. It's a wonderful story that demonstrates the kind of class the Rooney's have always demonstrated. He will have a tremendous opportunity in Pittsburgh.
