For Friday night - the owner of the Huron Point Tavern (formerly Alesci's and next to the Clevelander) at the intersection of Huron, Prospect and E. 9th, is having specials for Zips fans. On Friday night, anyone wearing Akron gear can buy domestic drafts or bottles for $2 (reg. $3.50 to 4.50) and Imported drafts or bottles for $3 (reg. $4.50 to $6.50). The also serve great, homemade Italian food. I was at the Clevelander last year and many were complaining about high beer prices, so I asked the owner of Huron Point if he would cut Akron fans a break. Hope to see you there and Go Zips!

It would have been nice to go undefeated in the MAC, but I'm glad the streak is over and we can concentrate on winning the tournament.

I'd like to say I wasn't worried after that horrible start, but kept thinking we'd come back to make this a typical Akron-Can't game.

These announcers suck. Akron - Can't is a backyard rivalry. We get it already.

It's 2010....Go to ticketmaster before you leave your house, buy tickets so and then you won't have to stand in line. There is no line on the internet. You completely missed the point. This is not the way a professional organization should operate. How about a little customer service. Besides, not that it should make a difference, but my son didn't decide to go until that day. Ticketmaster runs 24/7. You could have spent five minutes on it before leaving for the game. It's 2010.....those who had to stand in line have nobody to blame but themselves. So you are making excuses for poor customer service...besides being a jerk.

What was the deal with the long wait to buy tickets at the gate? If the U can't handle a walk up for a total ground of 16K, how long will the lines be for a decent crowd (if that ever happens)? I waited in line to buy a ticket for my son until I got closer and noticed there was a window for "general admission cash only." Could they not have had a kid or someone letting the people at the back of the line know this? I get so pissed off at my school sometimes I could spit. When will the athletic department start acting like a Div I school?

Wow. At least we had more than VCU/GW Other CBI attendance Wed. Duq at Princton - 665 Charl at EKY - 1,750 Col. St. at Morehead St - 2,202 eww we poo eee at Hofstra - 952 BU at Oregon St - 2,913 and in the NIT Tulsa at Can't - 1,175 (not much better) Perhaps it's a good thing that these tournaments will be a thing of the past if/when NCAA goes to 96 teams. (are they doing this for sure?)

The arena looked really nice on the highlights.

I hope the camera stays tight to the court.
