Thanks!! I am turning the sound off when I watch the Zips. They are more concerned with their bets than announcing the game. I also hate the screen on screen where you see the commentators and not the game. I now understand the format. Bloggers who just talk and talk and talk and talk. I am too old for this crap.

I added the channel. Picture is good. Watched Toledo game for 5 minutes. I have one question. Do the 3 commentators ever shut up?

I opened Roku but could not find barstools sports. I put barstools in search and no results. any help would be appreciated. I know I can watch it online and the picture does look sharp online but would rather try watching it on tv.

I also ordered. Great to to support a great player for the Zips.

In Freeman's frosh year when he walked on, he was the only player on the roster not to have his picture up. (LOL)

I lean the other way and Groce told him he may not fit into their long term plans. When we started winning it was with a smaller lineup and more quickness on defense. I think Groce believes that quickness beats having a rim protector that does not have quick feet. That is why Freeman is so good because of his quickness to the ball.

For those that are going, it is a straight shot on Pa turnpike, exit Valley Forge, to Blue Route, 476, to route 95 south, and get off at stadium exits which are well marked. For a taste of Philly, get there early and go to Pats Steaks about 10 minutes from the arena. (I grew up in Philly and used to sell beer at the Vet)

Do you think Aziz was a coaching decision or a player's decision? On the one hand he had very limited offensive skills and was slow on defense. However, I thought we could have used him last night on defense as their center was just eating up our frosh at the end of the half.

I checked the Butler box score and no Ali. I wonder if he is hurt or there is some other reason he did not play.

Best game of the season thus far!!! (LOL) For those people that are mad at Tribble for missing the layup, you have to remember he was trying to beat the clock and was trucking down the court at full speed. Because of the speed he put the ball off the backboard too hard. He made up for it making the foul shot that won the game. By far the best non-conference game we have had in years. I hope they come back.

I received my season tickets but my parking passes are digital. I read the instructions and it indicates that I was supposed to have received an e mail to access my account. I did not get e mail. I just tried to access my account online and it did not recognize by e mail although they sent my payment confirmation to that e mail. And of course when I call the ticket office, you guessed it, nobody answers even though we are 45 minutes from tipoff. Would it kill them to print off the parking passes like every other year?

Does anyone have a good guess at the starting lineup? Does anyone remember when we used to get programs with rosters and a little information about the visiting team. Under Groce it seems we always have a bunch of new players and it takes me a few games to learn the players. Nice to have a roster until we learn the players. Tribble and Freeman could be Groce's first recruits to spend 4 years in the Akron program. (okay, he recruited Freeman from the Akron cafeteria)

I turned off the volume. That helped.

As I look at the roster, I see a lot of new faces. It seems like that every year, especially with the transfer rule. I know we have talked about some of these players in the past but if somebody would be nice enough to help me out and tell me where the following players from last year ended up. Also, if somebody wants to comment about these players as the season progresses we now have one thread on this subject. Thanks in advance. Thanks, I also forgot the numerous third down plays when we needed 8 and DJ threw to receivers who were only 4 yards down field. Why receivers are not behind the sticks when it is 3rd down is beyond me.

I went to the game today for the first time all season. Not only do I have to watch bad football, I have to listen to continuous 1000 decibel music every second during the game except when the ball is snapped. Give me a break and turn off the radio during the game. For those that said there was no enthusiasm during the game. They are dead wrong. The band was very enthusiastic and having a great time. Not so much on the field. We lost at least 100 yards on the punt returns. Short punt, ball bounces 20 yards as our punt returner watches. Then on the last punt it goes over his head and bounces 30 yards for a 70 yard punt. Once again, 4th and one and a handoff from the shotgun for no gain. I guess it is too much for a division one team to have their QB under center and have a quarterback sneak or hand it off to the back. This team is a train wreak for the 7th year in a row.

I am so tired of bad coaching. Put him under center and run a quarterback sneak. Absurd to go out of the gun. Listen to broadcaster. Obviously knows more about football than our coach!!!!

We need to score a touchdown this drive. Not a fan of the first call where the back had to reverse his field in the backfield.

I wish I could make money on Akron giving up a touchdown in the final 2 minutes of the half after they have scored. They have done it all season. Why not try an onside kick, at least we would have a 20% chance of keeping Kent from scoring.

Did anyone else notice that DJ was out of breadth after his long run. I really think that we should have taken a time out so he could have composed himself. Every play after that long run was bad. He fumbled a snap and then overthrew his receiver. Two games in a row where we got pinned on our own 3 yard line and it cost us the game. Despite that great kick return that was a great individual effort, our special teams were weak. Every one of our punts was in the endzone and when they muffed a punt nobody was around to recover.

The game is in the offense hands late in the 4th quarter. No complaining here.

But for the interception and the fumble, DJ has had a great game. Really playing well and stepping up in the pocket. Nice to see his receivers catching the ball. Can the defense hold for one set of downs and stop giving up big plays on third and long?
