This is garbage.........what is our problem in the second half?????????? We will not win a championship if we don't get over this disease or whatever plagues this team in the second half.

Can't can and will shut down Wood. The game will be physical. That takes Quade out of the picture. Bardo still does not seem adapted to the speed D-1 basketball. McKnight is our only hope, and he has pretty much been a nonfactor, and his brother still does not have enough experience to be tossed to the wolves. So it comes down to our guards, and it is going to be tough getting off shots against Can't's more athletic guards. Ohio was a rude awakening. It really exposed our weakness inside, and showed us what we look like when we don't knock down our shots. I shouldn't say we won't win, but I know it will be a lot tougher than last year, and we barely got that one.

That makes me feel a little better. I would piss my pants if Can't beat Ohio.

Akron will not win at the MACC center this year. Can't is surely to be pissed at us like we were pissed at Miami. Not to mention the flushes are much better this year. We live and die by the three. We will not shoot in that hostile environment like we shoot in the JAR. That, and we have no inside help other than Wood, and that is a weakness that could cost us the championship this year. Our guard play is better, but if we are not hitting we are not a very good offensive team. Ham 'n cheese will give us some problems with his defense.

I don't know....tonight is a big reality check for this zips team. We were riding kind of high after wiping Miami all over the court, but tonight I can say there are at least two teams in this conference that can beat us come March. Can't wins in Oxford and we know how tough that is no matter how bad they are playing. OU coulda beat us tonight on our court. We cannot take our home court for granted. Maybe this game gets us to buckle down more at home.

Good, I hope they get ranked. I want us to be the ones to tear their hearts out because there's no doubt the zips are going to give them fits. Personally, I'd rather be the underdog this time around.

If you ask me, zips basketball games are way more fun than zips football games. They always have been. If you go to the Akon/Can't game at the JAR you will know what I mean.

That's the truth. Maybe we're in over our heads in football. March madness is way better than the bowls. I wouldn't mind putting more emphasis on basketball.

Great win and all but our season will be defined on how we do on the road. The reason I am saying this is because the road in the MAC will be more brutal than ever. Student sections will surely try to rub last year's tournament finish in our face, and so our guys will have to be mentally tough. Also, we live and die with the three. Other than Wood, we need some help inside. We will not shoot as hot as we did on the road. Can we overcome what awaits us?

Coles always makes for some pretty good quotes. I always enjoy his gamesmanship. As students taunted him and his team out of the tunnel, Coles turns around and shows his ring finger. He'll definitely interact with the crowd.

You people amaze me. Your team just took the #20 team in the nation to double overtime and you're basically calling them losers. There were several players on this team that had outstanding games tonight. Granted, the last second plays were not good (they never seem to be), but Akron played a hell of a game.They are not losers at all. They have the potential to be the 2008 MAC champions, but I can say that about three other MAC teams. Some of the mistakes that are made in crunch time can and will cost us in Cleveland. We cut it close versus Nevada last year......and nobody cared that we went wire to wire versus a ranked team. It is frustrating to lose games like this that could put us on the map all the time.
