Comments on the band should NOT be taken personally. This site is the voice of the fan, and the band should be there to entertain the fan and not "play to its style". Like, all organizations on campus, especially sports, the band should be subject of high expectations being the most visible organization on campus. Why can't we have a band with energy like OU's? There are a lot of nonmusic majors who want to be in a group that entertains and feeds off the crowd.

They won't do that because then they cannot charge as much for chairbacks. Gotta bring in some $$

I say build a dome for football and basketball. That way ten to fifteen years later we won't be begging for a new arena. Use the JAR for volleyball, high school games and stuff.

Change the grass seating to real seating and that's pretty much what our stadium would look like.

I'm hoping Fleming sticks around because if the zips have a good season and JD takes off I think he has the credentials to take over the program.

I'm just shocked that we have people who would rather sit on the shrapnel that makes up the bleachers of the rubber bowl than enjoy the game in the comfort of a NFL STADIUM. There is a lot to do in Cleveland before the game, and the tailgating should be great. That's more than I can say than playing in the middle of nowhere next to a blimp hangar! It will probably be a nice experience for the players and the fans. It's about time the zips start getting exposure in Cleveland. Last weekend, our hoops team got quite a bit of coverage from the Cleveland media with interiews with Dambrot and nice paper articles. BG and Toledo should not be coming in here and taking our recruits.

Well we had it coming. If you neglect basketball as long as our brilliant conference leadership has, it will come back to bite you. The MAC was horrible this year. Maybe the dude has a point. As long as we are in the MAC, that's all we will amount to.......a joke.

Do they call is Skull session?This is what I'm trying to find out.If it's a generic term, we can use it.If it's just an OSU term, I say call it something else.That's what I'm getting at.Thanks Only OSU's is called the "Skull Session". We would need a different name.

Penn State does a similar ritual in the Bryce Jordan Center before games and I'm sure many others do it so it's no like OSU is the ONLY school who does it.

I disagree. One less competitive team = better chance for zips winning the MAC tournament. I sure enjoy the Can't State rivalry, but lets face it as long as Christian is around they will be a threat to take that lone bid the MAC has. I can care less how the other teams in this conference do. If I had it my way, they would all suck and the zips would take the bid every year,

With what went down this year, don't think Christian has not taken notice. He probably wants out of the MAC just as much as we do.

In case you have not yet noticed Can't State is our bitch, and now their coach is trying to get out of there. Don't get your hopes up. AK-ROWDY!!!!!!!!

What makes the rubber bowl more comfortable than an NFL STADIUM??? Look, they have to get on a bus to get to the bowl. They have to get on a bus to get to Cleveland. We should be able to beat army anywhere we play. If we cannot beat that team then we have issues anyway.

Why doesn't anyone want to play in Cleveland? I say lets give it a try. We are much much closer to the area than BG or Toledo. I'm sure the players will get a kick out of it too. Playing Can't September 22 is great. Thank goodness no Thanksgiving. Overall not too bad but we could use one more home game.

I'm salivating at the prospect of a Sweich/Wood frontcourt. I saw a picture of McKnight's brother on facebook and he looks like a young Jeremiah Wood. Kid is very strong. He competes in shot put. Don't forget about him.

The problem is nobody in this city really cares for Akron football. It's obvious something has to be done. What if the zips were to invest in an arena instead of a stadium. I know it's not happening at this point cause we are too far along with stadium plans. How the heck can we get into a bball conference when you got football draining all your funds while the other schools concentrate solely on basketball.

They get mad at Dambrot for saying it was a lucky shot when in fact the player who shot it said the same thing!!
