I disagree with this move, but that is only because of the $$$ we eat. Kennedy had to go. All we heard from her was, "This recruiting class is the best we've had" over and over only to see the same results. On the bright side, this tells me that Mack has guts and will do whatever is necessary to ensure excellence in all phases of Akron athletics. I support our AD. Adding more schools is plain stupid. It just means more schools that have chance to take our postseason opportunities. What, 3 out of 14 schools will get to go to bowl games? 1 out of 14 goes to the dance??

It seems to me that both CSU and Wright State have been making strides to improve their programs, which means we will need to work that much harder to build a good program in the increasing competitive world of college basketball. I know I do not want the disgrace of losing to either of those schools. Perhaps we need to up the salaries of our bball coaches? I know, easier said than done, but I don't know where some of these schools are getting this money.I can easily see us losing some media presence in the Cleveland market if CSU can build a good team. They can concentrate solely on basketball, whereas we have football.

Well Penn State, NC State, and Cincy all on the road is no easy schedule by any stretch of the imagination. But I think they are talking about hoops.

The reason I am bringing it up is that it seems to have a lot of similarities with what we are trying to do. They are paying 51 million for the project, which is in the ballpark of our projections. They are building a 41k facility. It's got the canal park type look with a tropical flavor. I can see UA going with this type of style.

A stadium announcement would be the perfect way to get the buzz going again.

Home or Away? Away would be very bad as we would have to take on four bcs teams on the road. The last thing we need is for us to lose our momentum.

We cry about losing MT and UAM, but the real driving force behind everything on campus is the supreme boss. As long as we have LP, the university will continue to improve. They may be begging to come back someday looking at how things are going in Cincy.

It was a tournament. Upsets happen. Unfortunately, we were the ones upset. I would not say Toledo is a bad team at all though. I thinl they will be formidable next year.

First of all, I will say we would have got beaten worse if it were us instead of you. You had the better team - end of story. I do think your team played with intensity in the second half. It looked like you guys were going to make a run.However, I hope you understand the postition of the fans who were rooting for Pitt. Remember, Akron and Can't are very close in proximity. We compete for recruits, and we compete for press. Can't State winning would have been great for the rest of the MAC, but not for Akron, and this was more of strategic thing for me. A lot of your fans supported Akron in the Motor City Bowl, but then there were some that thought the same way I think, which I understand fully.I look forward to some great games with you guys in the future.
