I think we should rest Dials for the CSU game. We cannot lose him for MAC play and will need him most against the east.

Because he visited Akron. Most of us knew he wasn't coming to Akron. But to have the #1 running back in the nation visit your school and show interest is a big step in the right direction. It also shows how the perception is changing. Image is everything in recruiting.

Keith Dambrot can coach. It's obvious that he knows how to get the most out of his players. I question the last few recruiting classes. Before I go on, I will say I like this McKnight kid we are getting next year. Can we please keep him eligible and see him on the court next year??? Aside from the year we acquired Travis, Joyce, and Wood I have been very unimpressed with the recruiting effort. Milum needs to put some meat on his bones or he will continued to get pushed around. Walther is not even here anymore and I was not even impressed with him. Wood is a waste of time. What the heck is up with Conyers? Linhart and Ryback are just all right, not the blue chip athletes I would prefer on the court. And when will we get that 6'10/6'11 post that can give us an imposing inside game? We are too small. Ohio worries me in the MAC because we may outplay them as a team and come in with a good gameplan, but will our talent and athleticism be able to match theirs or the other good teams in the east when the real war starts?

I thought we have been using a lot of players. Every team has about two to three guys that never see the court. Look at Can't State last year. Christian played his starters the entire game and by the stretch run the top five are worn down. I think our player rotation has been a strength of our team. Keep in mind that one of our guards transfered. One of our forwards is too lazy to rehab.We need our marquee players, aka Romeo Travis, to stop getting in foul trouble. That puts a lot less pressure on the guards.

Wow what a game. What poise this team showed when the odds seemed stacked againt them. Western got it within 3 in the second half. Travis, Linhart, Preston, and Futch all got in foul trouble. Guys were limping around in a very physical game. The crowd was going nuts, and Western was on a run that seemed would almost surely get them the lead. What do our guys do? They start a run of their own spearheaded by a pair of 3's by Joyce. That's nerves of steel folks. This year is going to be one wild ride if we can stay healthy.

The old coach is right. We would be dominating the MAC in recruiting if we had that stadium or even an announcement. We must make this thing official this year. Only then will we see our full potential.

BG will be an average team at best next year no matter how much they try to sugarcoat it.

Toledo an easy game? I tend to disagree.I do not like our OCC schedule at all for next year. Look what happened to Ball State this year. We got to stop scheduling so many unwinnable games. I can see playing one storied program a season but we need to be reasonable here. I do like what I see for future seasons though, as we play teams like Indiana, Syracuse, Army, and Kentucky. These are the teams we need to play on a consistent basis because they give us a realistic shot to get our BCS wins. Force the big boys to beat up on each other.

A game at Browns stadium would not make for a bad deal for OSU. The place would still sellout due to the amount of Buckey fans on NE Ohio and it would give them an opportunity to play in front of their base in Cleveland. For Akron the advantages are obvious. But I agree that we need to chase the likes of BG and Toledo off our turf. I'm sick of them of taking our talent. What can a school like BG offer that we can't?

It would be nice if we played all the cupcakes early on in the season like Can't, Bufallo, Ohio, and maybe a weak crossover team and then battle it out with the contenders for MAC supremacy late in the season. I like that. I guess I can see that working out, but something tells me we will get screwed by the MAC and ESPN again.

Interesting read. As a zips fan, I would not want to see this happen for obvious reasons. The MAC would lose a good one plus we would have to compete with three BCS schools in the state of Ohio. We battle Toledo enough as it is for recruits. They would really start picking our pockets in Northeastern Ohio and Western PA recruiting. I think we can give Toledo a run for their money if we continue our progress. I'm sure our new stadium would be just as good if not better than the Glass Bowl.

We are going to have the same crummy attendence next year because nobody wants to see football at the crumbling rubber bowl. Kind of symbolic that the facility looks like a toilet seat from the air. There is just no atmosphere whatsoever there. The university needs to start pushing this a little harder and I'm hoping now that we have an AD in place we have somebody to lead the charge. I'm sure we can get very creative in ways to fund this.

Getsy is a winner. Frye is not.

Not that bad of a loss. He could nail the 3's but his defense is suspect. He doesn't look all that much like a D-1 player either. I think we are in good hands with Dials. Joyce is playing well too, and Cedric can is definitely a player. Hopefully we can get Rybak to step up as a legit fourth guard.

Dream big. 35-40k bowl style facility that can be expanded. Look what we accomplished this season because a select few at this university dreamed big.

Oh ya and one more thing. Beat Miami, Smack Miami, and Stomp Miami. If we only win two games next year let's make them against Miami and Can't.
