Outstanding posts by everyone.I like the point about Romeo and Dru. I think these two choked the most on Friday besides Dials. Rome was a nonfactor the last ten minutes of the game, and he bricked two straight free throws when we needed to score the most.Dru had no idea what he was doing. He tried driving to the hole but got stuffed and could not even draw a foul. On top of that, he cannot make a clutch shot to save his life.I say let's follow football's lead and get the best talent we can get. Sometimes the local guys just don't cut it.I will say that sitting Peterson makes Dambrot look really bad. This is D-1 basketball! Coaches should not be playing favorites.Now as far as next year is concerned and the athleticism problem. Granted Wood comes back, Conyers gets his stuff straigtened out, we will have a lot of athletes. This McKnight kid is going to be a real player in my opinion, and I also look forward to seeing Daryl Roberts. Add them with Romeo and Cedric. These guys are all athletes and will contribute well. We need Bardo to come out strong since we will be lacking centers, but we are deep at the guard and forward positions.I look for these new guards to challenge Joyce and Dials. Dambrot needs to play the best guy!

I think in a few days, everyone will agree that this season was, indeed, a success. However, some of us have to get our frustration out after a clunker of a game. Heck, in both football and basketball, we have much to look forward to.

Peterson should have been in. What are we seeing that Dambrot is not seeing? And let it be known that ATHLETICISM won Toledo that game. Get off your butts coaching staff and get us some BASKETBALL PLAYERS not overachievers! I was very inpressed by their penetration and they really knew how to get off their feet.Dambrot has a lot of explaining to do about this one.

I was at the game. This team quit. No other way to put it. They should be ashamed of themselves. Maybe they need to take some lessons from the football team because they never quit and they win when it counts.The crowd did everything they had to try to pick our team up and they answered with more pathetic play. Way to go Rowdies and fans. I'm glad some of us left it all in the Q.Can we please learn how to beat a good team away from the JAR? Lot's of room for improvement there.I don't want to hear Dambrot complaining about attendence next year because losing another heartbreaker in the tournament will not persuade people to come back no matter how many regular season wins are obtained.

Oddly enough, I think a lot of Akron fans will be leaning toward Can't tonight. It's going to be a heck of an atmosphere in the Q tonight with OU bringing their crazy fans. Akron and Can't will bring their share. Toledo should also bring a nice contingent. But Akron/Can't - MAC championship gameHow bout that for a climax? It's going to happen sooner or later. Why not this year?

Big difference between their schedule and ours. We have been playing primarily the east and they have been playing the west. Add the gauntlet in Nevada to boot. NIU is bad too. Of course a good team like them would win a ton. Remember we swept those same teams they have been beating up on. Can't is an impressive win for them, but when Can't doesn't show up they can play really bad. Still, should be a good game tonight.

I think this is a winnable game. Toledo relies on its quickness and shooting ability. Keep in mind, this is Toledo's third game in a week. They got to be getting tired, and the second game is where the bye should start helping us. If we play smart basketball and take care of our posessions, we should do well. With the way we rebounded against western, we should have no problem in that area. It seems like several guys played well yesterday, and I look for more of a complete performance tonight.Do not forget the x-factor. We better bring an overwhelming crowd tonight. That could very well be the difference maker in this game. The rowdies need to show up in huge numbers and sit together.

I'm glad he got it. Let him build up his resume so that when he finally sees the light, he gets out of Can't. Once that happens, they can say goobye to their 20 win seasons and show the MAC who the real stepchild is. Once we take them in hoops, what else do they have?

I remember last year the nation having a pretty good turnout considering the time. I'd say about 5k showed up. If we can make the semi's, I think we get a massive turnout.

Well, the dance is near. Looks like its Western on the agenda tomorrow. Some thoughts concerning this matchup:It looks to be a good draw for us when looking at all the other matchups. Some of the things working to our advantage is the fact that we already beat them twice. Will a third time be a charm? Also, you got to figure that the crowd will be for Akron since we got the advantage of being closest to Cleveland. I think this is a game we can and should win, but I am hoping we are not looking past them to the semi's. That is the number one way of being an upset victim in tournament situation. Also, we have to remember they are well coached. Western is a good program in a dormant year.I want some payback tomorrow. Funny how the game is the same time as our last meeting with them in the Q.

Members of the O-zone did it to Nate Gerwig on facebook per bobcatattack, and one even got a response from him. It was kind of funny.

We need to pound on Western early on with everything we got. I don't want this to be a close game because we need to rest the starters if we can later on in the game. I'm thinking a lot of the games on the other side of the bracket will be fairly close and that can work to our advantage come finals.

I think the lizard is the official zips tournament headquarters this year. That is where the Rowdies are going to be before the game.

I think the team to beat on our side of the bracket aside from Akron is Toledo. They seem like they are hot right now, and they were one of the few teams to beat Can't. Joplin is also fighting for his job.
