I watched the Can't vs. UB game and I'm not remotely intimidated by either of them. I thought Buffalo would look much better having smacked Ohio, but maybe their 51-14 loss at CMU was no fluke.

Toledo is ranked at 24 in the first CFP top 25. I'm surprised to see them ahead of Houston, honestly.

Tonight's Toledo vs. NIU game is huge. If the Rockets win, they'll probably keep winning and end NIU's MAC West championship streak. If the Huskies win, Toledo has just about no shot at playing in a New Year's Six bowl.

I say Akron by at the very least two scores, honestly. But UMass has the potential to be dangerous on offense so I'm a little bit concerned.

Well, I only watched part of the game but didn't hear that part. As far as Bowden taking the job if offered (which I really don't see happening at this point), he should take it. They were giving O'Leary around $2 million this year.

Let's give them the Marshall and UCF treatment and send them out of the MAC in style. UMass looked fantastic against Toledo in the first half of that one, but got thumped in the second half. They also could only put up 10 on an awful Ball State defense. If not for a legitimate pro prospect in Frohnapfel, this would be the worst team in the FBS. Hell, they may already be that bad. Anyway, THIS IS A MUST WIN. In the few hours following yesterday's game, I felt just like I did after the loss to Ohio--huge games that we needed for any hope at a MAC title. Hopefully that means the Zips can win big on the road following a home loss again. Also, a win would guarantee a record of at least 3-3 on the road for the season. Akron hasn't won that many times on the road in one season in a long, long time.

I'd like to know the redshirt situation with the freshmen PFs. I also think Williams will start at SG with Jackson and Ivey behind him. Hasn't KD already said Williams will start? Maybe we'll find out on Thursday.

Hopefully the Zips used the off week to their advantage. This will be a tough game to win and an extra week of preparation could give us the edge. A loss wouldn't close the door on a bowl, but it would hurt confidence heading into the final four games, which are all very winnable.

I know these rankings aren't scientific, but the bottom of the MAC is pretty bad if Akron can lose by 49 and move up two spots.

Cody Grice tells it like it is in GT's write up. Last year, the Zips were blown out by Marshall at home following a week three bye. This year, a home game follows the bye again, but it will be week 8 and the opponent will be a solid Central Michigan squad.
