Akron played bad and almost beat a damn good MAC team. This, my friends, is progress. In 2013, we lost 43-3 to a similar Ohio team on homecoming in the rain. This year, both teams played gritty, but Ohio's ability to stuff the run ultimately decided it. There were drops and stupid penalties, but if we get that defensive hold on the throw along the sidelines to Wolf, we win this game. If the Zips play with that defensive intensity for 60 minutes, they would shut everyone out. The offense stunk today. The penalty on the pass to McNeil was BS because Bohan fell over and they called a hold on him because the guy tripped over him (I'm pretty sure). We played like shit and put up 12 against a great defense and Stein finally played like the senior he is. The division is still in reach, but it will be tough. NOW BEAT EMU!!!!! (Sorry if I repeated myself or this seemed choppy. I'm tired and on my phone.)
