Not only that but I am really starting to wonder about Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin's judgment. Just like his buddy on the Can't State basketball team, he likes to mix it up on every play. But using true Can't state logic, Harrison sums it all up. If Harrison was a free agent tomorrow, you would want him on your NFL team. Maybe our bb team should mix it up on every play, then they wouldn't get their asses kicked habitually by Can't State. I'll take Super Bowl winning coach Mike Tomlin's opinion over yours. Have a nice evening.

Another way to look at it is bandwagon fans are smart fans who won't waste their money on a bad product. I don't blame people one bit for not going to watch the Zips play. Fans of tOSU are wasting their money on an illusion as they are too stupid to realize they are being duped. 100,000 idiots will be showing up Saturday.

What could have been done with you season ticket $
GP1 replied to MaxZIP's topic in Akron Zips Football
This is actually a very important post and I bet there are a lot of people MaxZip's age who are thinking the same thing. I had always somewhat given up hope on alumni around my age (40) and older. I had hope that the younger generation would have something to follow as they aged. They aren't getting the same experience now as they did when they were in school. MaxZIP was in college when the Zips won the MAC in 2005 and it was probably a great time for him. Five years later, he is closer to 30 than 20, probably doing as well financially as he ever has and married. It's probably still a really exciting time in his life and he has the option to do a lot with his money if he doesn't have children yet. The Zips are quickly losing his attention and I don't blame him. If the current path of the football program continues, another generation could be lost. I sure hope the turn things around soon. -
What rules were broken? Even some Browns call them clean hits. Whats that saying? The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree? http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/r/23517483/detail.html Harrison hasn't done anything wrong. I'm not sure what the referece to his mother has to do with anything. I saw Harrison at a hockey game once. Between periods, he said hello to and took photos with anybody who asked. He isn't a bad guy, just a hardass....the kind of hardass any Browns fan would love to have on their team. It looks like your wrong again. http://www.ohio.com/sports/browns/105274173.html http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...mp;sportCat=nfl I really don't care what the NFL does. I don't think he did anything wrong. Again, what does his mother have to do with anything?

Hey if we could just win a few games, you might see circus tents pitched (albeit widely scattered) throughout the Info! If they keep playing like this, they are going to have to put a circus tent OVER the Info.

Did anyone find the last part of the last sentence as funny as I did? Circus tent?.......

Browns fans sure can cry up a river.

There is no stigma, only stupidity. JUCO players are a common in other parts of the country. People look down their noses at them because they think somehow all JUCO players are off the field problems. I'd take a JUCO transfer over a transfer from a BCS school. You can find success with both types, but I think you are more likely to find a malcontent with a BCS transfer more quickly than a JUCO transfer. There is also something humbling about going to a JUCO that BCS kids don't get. Mike Johnson, Vic Green and Brett Biggs were JUCO transfers and I'd take them again in a second. Wasn't Jay Rohr (sp?) a JUCO transfer as well? Alleman and Getsy were BCS transfers and they worked out great, but does the name Bain ring a bell? If JUCO players are a good fit, we should take them.

0% There is more money in getting fired. Isn't JD making $250K this year to do nothing because of his buyout.

Want to immediately help him? Don't count on the draft. Two words Browns fans, Randy Moss. A great deep threat opens up the whole field. Moss has 2-3 good years left in him. The draft is how you get depth. It's hard to turn a team around quickly with the draft.

Noooooo he isn't. He's an a-hole, but not a rapist.

He has all of the physical ability he needs. Browns fans need to keep in mind that McCoy won a lot of games at UT. Winners are hard to come by. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if McCoy doesn't go down with an injury in the BCS Championship Game last January, they beat Alabama.
-
I'm not one to give the Browns advice as I am a Steelers fan. I guess it isn't as much advice to the Browns as much as it is advice to Browns fans. Here it goes. Try to control your stupidity and don't run McCoy out of Cleveland. Get the guy some help in the form of a better #1 receiver and a better RB than Touchdown Tommy Hillis...or whatever his name is. McCoy handled himself well yesterday against a great defense on the road and for his first game ever. If the Browns do the right things around this guy, they can be a playoff team in the future. In 2-3 years, McCoy may be one of the one half of all starting NFL QBs who doesn't have his head up his butt. Time will tell, but even the Great GP1 and many in the crowd of Steelers fans at Dixies Tavern in Charlotte were impressed by McCoy. The guy can play, now get him some help.

I'd like to see where these four teams finish if they were in BCS conferences week in and week out. BYU is already a bad team. You'll get part of your wish next year when Utah joins the PAC-10. We'll learn a lot. I think I know a lot of the answers to the test right now.

My God, the ABJ allows this to be posted on their web page. The more things change there, the more they stay the same at the ABJ. Rasor asks if long term a Zips fan would change places with a Can't, OU, Temple or NIU fan. The answer to that in at least two out of four, I would. Temple can be good for a loing time. NIU has been good for a long time. The only team I would say Hell No to is Can't. NIU is a proven winner (wins a lot of games). If we have good facilities, so does Temple...an NFL stadium comes to mind. OU can continue to be good for at least five more years. Secondly, our commitment to iCoach should be five years? This has to be a joke. If we go 0-12, the commitment to iCoach should not be five minutes. Not to win a game in the worst conference in the country after at least winning 3 last year with 17 returning starters, IMNHO, is cause for immediate termination. Is Rasor really what law school and a career in an intellectually bankrupt Republican Party creates? I guess so. There are people who actually voted for this guy to serve on the board of a relatively large Ohio town. I'm simply amazed by it. He was a lot smarter before law school and a career in politics. Try harder Rasor.

It's hard to believe a team that doesn't play anyone for six games loses to an average team. watching them play today made my day In all seriousness, it is the reason why the computer rankings are more important than the human rankings. Most humans don't get to watch every team play or the people voting can't tell the difference between good teams and players. tOSU was never the #1 team because they simply don't have the physical ability. They got physically smashed last night. Nobody notices that when they are playing MAC schools, but it comes out when they play a decent team. They probably aren't a Top 15 team (closer to between 15 and 25) and will lose at least one more thins regular season. They are still in first place in the MAC though.
-
The only way it could get worse is if in the third possession they score a TD in lieu of a FG. It's only a four point swing going from 24 to 28 points.
-
They are the words of a guy who played in the NFL. It is they type of brutal honesty he had to hear each day during his career.

Z.I.P., I'm here to help by giving you every bit of computer knowledge I have....Try turning your computer off and then turning it back on. -
Exactly! I don't think everyone understands what a catastrophe 0-12 would be for the program the first year of a new coach, or any year for that matter. When you hire a new coach, right or wrong, you expect better than what you had before. If it doesn't happen, then what? What kind of player can you recruit when the team goes 0-12? I'm not going to include all of the questions because STZ outlined them a couple of weeks ago, but the questions outline what a deep hole 0-12 creates. What kind of coach would want to come to an 0-12 team? The Zips badly need to win some games this season. To finish with zero wins would take years to recover from. Keep in mind that some teams have not won games for a couple of years straight. It can happen and we can't let it happen to us. 0-12 makes a program a laughing stock. People forget 3-9, they never forget 0-12. I'm pulling for the Zips to win the remainder of their games. If that means iCoach stays longer, then so be it. Maybe he will prove me wrong about the pro style offense. If he goes 0-12, his reputation will be so damaged he will never recover and like JZ84 said, he will never be able to turn things around.
