  1. Some probably still do. What I do know is when it was all happening, it was giving some benefit to the athletes students alumni fans and general community around Youngstown. Isn't that we are trying to do?
  2. This would never happen. Who would put them in?
  3. I just hope that when they are done with the MAC, UMass doesn't forget to leave the money on the dresser.
  4. UMass is a blood transfusion laced with Hepatitis. UMass only adds expenses for already broke schools so the expanded footprint is only a negative. There is absolutely nothing positive about UMass. At best, this news does nothing.
  5. Think bigger. G5 schools need their own division. Then they need a separate commissioner for football who can organize the teams into a nation football conference. Then they can use their numbers to negotiate better TV deals and payday games.
  6. I've seen this somewhere before, but I can't remember.
  7. We should look for one then.
  8. Am I the only one who could make fun of UMass joining the MAC, again, all day long?
  9. It's a building process.
  10. BTW. Was there a school smart enough to vote no when this came to a vite?
  11. Presidents and ADs who want to open a door for their next job.
  12. Good point. If they won more games against the SB, that would be catching up in my view.
  13. ...... UMass athletics is a sick joke.
  14. I don't think most ACC football programs are as exciting to watch as you think.
  15. If by breathing life you mean farting into the faces of MAC fans, I agree.
  16. It brings in an athletic department that is worse than almost every existing mac school. It makes the MAC worse, not better.
  17. Good grief.....
  18. It devalues the league.
  19. This isn't a solution to any problem the MAC currently has.
  20. UMass helps us catch up to the SB?
  21. The only program less exciting than Temple.
  22. Complete trash.
  23. There are a lot of reasons someone may use the TP. The getting pushed out because he didn't develop into a good enough player part bothers me. I believe if a player is pushed off of the team, there should be a full scholarship for him for his remaining years.
  24. I still don't understand how UofA was directly harmed. How much UofA money did they take?
  25. He turned a runt of a running back, Brett Biggs, into one of the most impactful players (at least for one season) in Zips history. I just don't know what contact with football JD has had since leaving Akron. Maybe someone could help me out with that. The game has changed a lot since then.
