Some probably still do. What I do know is when it was all happening, it was giving some benefit to the athletes students alumni fans and general community around Youngstown. Isn't that we are trying to do?

I just hope that when they are done with the MAC, UMass doesn't forget to leave the money on the dresser.

UMass is a blood transfusion laced with Hepatitis. UMass only adds expenses for already broke schools so the expanded footprint is only a negative. There is absolutely nothing positive about UMass. At best, this news does nothing.

Think bigger. G5 schools need their own division. Then they need a separate commissioner for football who can organize the teams into a nation football conference. Then they can use their numbers to negotiate better TV deals and payday games.

There are a lot of reasons someone may use the TP. The getting pushed out because he didn't develop into a good enough player part bothers me. I believe if a player is pushed off of the team, there should be a full scholarship for him for his remaining years.

I still don't understand how UofA was directly harmed. How much UofA money did they take?

He turned a runt of a running back, Brett Biggs, into one of the most impactful players (at least for one season) in Zips history. I just don't know what contact with football JD has had since leaving Akron. Maybe someone could help me out with that. The game has changed a lot since then.
