Zipsrifle
OK, so today I'm thinking, "What game will we pull off the last minute upset this year?" We've done it every year under JD, so why should this year be any different? To refresh your memories:2004: Marshall, RB, ESPN. The place was 1/2 empty when we stormed the field!! This is why I ALWAYS stay to the end!2005: Northern ILL, MACC. TOPS on my list for best sports moment in my life!2006: NC State, The game that killed "The Chest"2007: Western Michigan, KZoo. With a 13 month old kid in one arm, and about 2000 shocked and pissed WMU fans immediately surrounding me. I have never been more restrained with my emotions. So, which game will it be this year? I can't say that the other games have been huge upsets, so I'm crossing off Wisconsin. Here's my list, with the highest probability first:1) Syracuse - Though we might not see it as an upset, everyone else will.2) Buffalo - RB goes out with a BANG!3) Ball State4) BG5) Cincinnati6) Can't State As for the Can't State game, who knows if rivalry games can be considered an upset, that's why it's last. There are 2 ways I would prefer to beat Can't State. 1) Blow their doors off, like we usually do or 2) Pull off a win at the last minute, just to make it hurt that much more. That is an example of a game where a team could take us lightly and they're coming into our place. I don't see MAC teams taking us too lightly and I think both BSU and BG will be at the top of the standings this year.
Zipmeister
OK, this may be going out on a limb a little bit, but I have a very strong feeling this could happen. My pick for the team we upset at the last second this year is the University of Miami. Here's how I see that occurring. Wake Forest is scheduled to play the Hurricanes in Coral Gables on October 25. I believe the entire Wake Forest team will go on strike to protest Hillary Clinton stealing the Democrat nomination from Obama through back room dealings at the convention. THe ACC office will scramble to find a replacement from the teams that have a bye for that Saturday and select the Zips to fill in. The game will be played just as the effects of Hurricane Marco are being felt in the Miami area. The Zips win with 22 seconds remaining in the game as an Akron pass gets a boost from the wind and flies 84 yards in the air for a completion and touchdown. Given their Herculean effort the Zips are offered and accept entry into the Big East Conference. And they all live happily ever after. GP1
RB goes out with a BANG!One thing we know for sure, the sound of the bang will not be from the stall door in the restroom on the home side slamming shut.
Sergeant Zip
3) Ball StateThis can't happen. Jason Whitlock has them in the BCS. Fox SportsThe Ball State Cardinals are going to run the table and make a bid to crash the BCS bowl party. I (spit) you not.The Cardinals are loaded. In Nate Davis, they have quite possibly the quarterback with the most pro potential in the college game. Davis' favorite target is Wes Welker clone, Dante Love. The Cards have a 6-foot-6 tight end, Darius Hill, who can't be stopped in the red zone. Their right tackle, Robert Brewster, is one of the nation's best run blockers. Ball State punter, Chris Miller, is a two-time Playboy All-American. Ball State is this year's Boise State. They are going to run the table? Anybody with a 2 time Playboy All-American Punter is a lock to run the table.

With non-conference games vs Northeastern (IAA), vs Navy (reasonable challenge, but home and WEAK defense), @ Indiana (hardest game on the schedule, and not that hard) and @ WKU (IA newcomer). I have a feeling if they DID go 12-0, they wouldn't be crashing anything. The good ol' BCS computers would have em in the 12-15 range. Dr Z
I like Whitlock's prediction. All the more reason to look forward to September 13th.
Captain Kangaroo
BG is the comeback win. 72-71. BG's defense is so bad they're trying Bryan Hipsher out at nose tackle.Bryan Williams scores 4 defensive TDs to go along with a KO return and punt return TD. Sets the NCAA record for most points in a game by a non-offensive player.

Dr Z
SI adds two more MAC teams to the BCS crashers list#2 The Falcons should light up scoreboards with quarterback Tyler Sheehan, multi-dimensional running back Anthony Turner (17) and wide receiver Freddie Barnes -- that is if a line that is replacing three fifth-year seniors can find its footing. The offense may have to score in bunches if BG doesn't improve on a defense that ranked 94th in total defense a year ago.#4 The Chippewas have their sights on a third straight MAC title behind dual threat quarterback Dan LeFevour, who had 46 combined touchdowns on the ground and in the air in '07. Defense, though, is this team's biggest obstacle, having ranked 109th in total defense last season.

You need to go undefeated to crash the BCS, and CMU plays at Georgia. Ball State has the easiest schedule of all. Let's crash their BCS crashing dreams in week three!
