Hilltopper
What were the factors that made the coaching staff decide to use Brett McClanahan this season, instead of having him red-shirt?
MDZip
Is there a timetable set for Ronnie Stewards return? If so, how will he be worked back into the lineup?
Captain Kangaroo
1.) Back in the 80's Bob Huggins frequently recruited some guys from the football team to bolster his inside game, and he had some success with it. Have you ever given any though to asking Coach Brookhart if you could "borrow" a couple of his defensive lineman or tight ends to pound on a guy like Tillman in the paint for a few minutes a game?1a.) In a related question - Has the game changed in the past 25 years to the point where a dual sport athlete is no longer possible?2.) Have you considered instituting any "rules" that would mandate the team make "X" amount of passes, "X" amount of clock, or give a post player "X" amount of touches before taking a shot? We seem to be taking more ill-advised, quick, early-in-the-shot-clock shots than any Zips team I can remember.
Quickzips
With the recent decision to burn Brett McClanahan's redshirt, I'm kind of curious about our other two redshirt's (Parrish and Sullivan). How are they looking in practice and what can we expect from those two in the coming years?
johnnyzip84
For Coach Kest: Are you doing anything in particular to try to maintain the team's focus on Ball St. in the wake of the long-awaited victory over our rivals to the east? For Coach Dambrot: Might your defensive tactics be altered depending on whether or not Chris Singletary plays on Saturday? Dr Z
KD , can you tell us what you know about what the future of JAR is as it pertains to the basketball team?
Zip Watcher
For Coach Dambrot .. #1: I can't be certain, but it appeared on TV that you were enjoying a diet cola product at the beginning of the win against BG @ Anderson Arena on Saturday. Off the wagon?#2: The defense in spots the past few games has been impressive. Particularly the 2nd halves @ OU and BG. Do you have specific goals on defense regarding FGM or Percentages? For instance, what's a good performance for your defense? Below 40% opponents shooting? 20 FG made? For Coach Kest .. Congrats to your team and staff for Wednesday night and the disposal of that monkey. What's the next milestone you're pushing the team towards? Captain Kangaroo
Coach Kest: "Your team was absolutely bludgeoned by BG the other night. Then you beat a similarly talented K.e.n.t. squad in your next game. To what do you attribute the difference in results? Was the BG beating a result of a hangover from a tough OT loss to OU. Is BG that much better than K.e.n.t.?"
Captain Kangaroo
Coach Dambrot - "Is Chris McKnight emerging as your go-to option on offense? His consistency seems to be becoming a trend."
jupitertoo
Coach Dambrot -- is it true that your assistant Rick McFadden threatened to have a Zips player injure Ohio freshman Stephen Coleman when OU plays in the JAR this year? Apparently this was the exchange that caused the post game altercation in Athens on Tuesday.
