skip-zip
It is being reported that Charlie will be the starter again next week when the Raiders play the Browns in Cleveland. From what I've read this morning, his coach appears to be pleased with his performance in their win over Denver after not playing in a game in over a year. How funny will that be that Charlie comes back for a game against Cleveland as the starting QB for another team? I enjoyed watching him yesterday. It was great to see him playing again, and I hope that the concussion was a mild one.

You don't even have time to say ABC before it collapses. It's going to be interesting to see how he's greeted by the Cleveland fans.
RootforRoo44
I will be there cheering him...i can tell you that.I love my Browns but i'm secretly hoping he just goes off and lights us up. It wont happen but hey i can dream.
Spin
I want to see him do well because of all the crap I took over the years on the Cleveland forums defending him. He was the most sacked QB in the NFL, nobody can throw downfield with 2 seconds of protection (unless they have receivers who can run a 2.0 40), on and on...Another reason I hope he shreds the Brown's secondary, it'll end the charade that Mangini should stay, and get us a much needed higher draft pick. A meaningless game between two bad teams -- not, I mean terrible teams! Nice to see someone can take interest in something other than next year's Zips' soccer season. I guess if I were there, it would give me another opp to wear my old #5 CB jersey.
Zippysgotagun
I'll be there, and be cheering for him as well. I'm more of a Raiders fan than a Browns fan anyways. I have a general distaste for the NFL in general, so I don't really have a favorite team, but if I had to pick one, it would be the Raiders. I blame my father, because he always liked them when I was growing up.And btw, who really thought both of these teams would be riding 2 game win streaks in to Browns stadium? Plus, they're 2 of the absolute crappiest teams in football, and they've both beat the Steelers recently.

The C-town forum mongers are already in high gear anticipating this game. Doubt they'll pay to go, but it's mildly interesting.Nice to see someone can take interest in something other than next year's Zips' soccer season. wink.gifI watch all sports. In February and March, I'll watch college basketball more. After that, college baseball starts. The NBA gets interesting. The new Cleveland USL team will be getting started. Then the tracks will reopen, the Aeros and Indians will be back. Might even watch the NFL draft, if Mangenius will not be calling the shots.I watch a lot of sports. GoZips
Interesting. Quinn has a hang nail or some other "major" injury, thus preventing him from goinghead to head, mano a mano, with the guy the Clowns organization threw under the bus. What a pity. A heads up face off would prove the Clowns drain bust was right. You bet. With Mike Holmgren entering the picture you just might see Frye back in a Clowns uniform.I hope Charlie tattoos all you haters and the Clowns as well.I was a huge Frye fan when he played for Akron and I would love for him to do well in the NFL. The same Brownies who just won two in a row, including one over the newly pathetic Yinzers.I for one wish Chuckie well, although he's earned more as a pine-rider than most of us here in the last several years, so I don't suppose I need to pity the poor fellow. Anyway, I hope he has a good career and plays well this week, but I also hope that the Raiders are crushed by my (hopefully) resurgent Brownies. It's just NOT right to be a sports fan in NE Ohio and spread vile hatred for the forlorn Browns. It's easy with their recent past, but it's not right. GP1
The same Brownies who just won two in a row, including one over the newly pathetic Yinzers.Being the magnanimous GP1 and Steelers fan, I forgot offer a heartfelt congratulations to the Browns for their victory over the Steelers. It was a bad game in a bad season for the Steelers (although they are still in the playoff hunt somehow). It was a good game in a typical season for the Browns. I hope the Browns continue the same success they had this season again next year. Again, congratulations.

zips4ever2008
Go Charlie! I hope he makes the Browns regret trading him after one start. I'm not a Raiders fan at all, but I will be this weekend.

I'm not a Raiders fan at all, but I will be this weekend.I can't go that far, since I've been a browns fan since I was 9, hoping for a loss is almost sacrilegious. lol. However, I'll just say that I hope the browns win yet somehow Charlie has a stellar day. How this would happen would be that DA has a comparatively good day as well (yikes, that wouldn't get the message across about the errant firing of Frye) or that the browns win it with special teams. LOL. Oh the dilemas. I can see that happening though.Frye 35DA 0/Cribs 28/Harrison 7/Dawson 3:lol:

UA Fan
http://www.mercurynews.com/breaking-news/c...?nclick_check=1Overall, Cribbs is fifth in the league in kick returns at an average of 27.8 yards. He is second in punt returns at 13.3, behind only the New York Giants Domenik Hixon's 15.1. (Can't/Akron story line missed by writer)... Quarterback Bruce Gradkowski (knees) was among those who missed practice. Now there's no doubt about Charlie Frye starting Sunday.
