Sergeant Zip
Toronto Sun Article There will still be 36 bowls following the 2010 season due to the bowl game at the new Yankee Stadium on December 30th. Pinstripe Bowl - the No. 3 team in the Big East and the No. 6 school in the Big
skip-zip
If only they had built a domed stadium in Cleveland.
MDZip
Apparently the MAC has a tie-in with the Humanitarian Bowl, for this year but it may only be for this year. The loss of the International Bowl hurts the MAC more than any other conference.
Captain Kangaroo
Now what am I going to watch on January 8th!?
Z.I.P.
Now what am I going to watch on January 8th!? +++ Back atcha Cap'n. But, a chance at bringing the Zips West of the Rockies looks like an improvement to Z.I.P. Last time Akron played in Boise I was a freshman and the Broncos kicked their butts. I don't think it has been in my 10 year tenure with UA.

The source below indicates a 31-21 Boise victory (IN Boise....don't think they ever returned the favor). One silly game that got away from the Zips that year was a 28-27 loss to Indiana St (no BIRD was not on the gridiron for that one). If I remember correctly, UA blew a 27-0 lead on that one! MDZip
MAC just signed on with the WAC to a four year deal with the Humanitarian Bowl. Blue Turf in Winter

Link Well, I have to go with this authoritative source, but I was thinking it was the first game following the Pioneer Bowl loss to Montana State -- that was my freshman year. I guess I was thinking about that defeat at the hands of mighty Truman State. And I would have bet the loss was more than 3 TDs. That's what all the inhalin' from the 70's did to Z.I.P.'s brain cells. BTW -- I was at the Indiana State game -- I coulda swore it ended in a tie! Maybe it's a good thing I left before the extra point.
