MDZip
No surprise we're back on the Bottom 10 list to start the season at #4. Good news is our first week opponent is only one spot above us.
BirdZip
Wow. Three MAC schools in the bottom 10 (UA, Buffalo and EMU) and two more on the waiting list (CMU and BG).
Blue & Gold
Wow. Three MAC schools in the bottom 10 (UA, Buffalo and EMU) and two more on the waiting list (CMU and BG). Could be half of the Bottom Ten next week!!

Could be half of the Bottom Ten next week!! And we play three of the other four this year. Show a little progress and we could at least give the illusion of improving with a much-improved record. MDZip
Not surprising that the Zips are still on the list (albeit moved up from #4 to #6) but what is surprising is that Ianellos postgame comment made the Bottom 10 waiting list. Also, this confused me. In the AP coaches poll, in the Others Receving Votes category there is this list:Others receiving votes: Baylor 117, South Florida 97, Iowa 44, Utah 42, Georgia 35, Houston 31, Northwestern 30, Arizona 28, UCF 18, Hawaii 17, North Carolina 15, Michigan 15, NORIL 13, Clemson 13, Southern Miss 12, Air Force 10, Notre Dame 8, Tennessee 5, Brigham Young 4, Maryland 4, Georgia Tech 3, Washington 3, Texas Tech 1, California 1, Cincinnati 1I'm pretty sure NORIL is Northern Illinois. Even when the MAC gets votes, it's disguised. NORIL sounds like a top secret government installation vice a college.

Doug Snyder
This is the list we should be using to find future opponents...at least for the next few years. Pick BCS schools that make the list and the non-BCS D1 schools. We need to get some positive feelings and a winning attitude developed. Over scheduling is hurting our growth. MDZip
UA at #4, just ahead (or is that behind?) iCoach's former stomping grounds. The only consolation - the only other MAC school on the list (even the waiting list) - Can't. Northeast Ohio - proud football traditions (sigh).

There isn't one BCS program that wouldn't be a 20+ point favorite against the Zips right now. Even Minnesota or Indiana.

BirdZip
Only New Mexico is in the way. That's because we stink. And New Mexico, by the way, is the answer to someone's earlier question of whether it is realistic to think a coach who won 1 game in each of his first two seasons would be welcomed back for a third.I notice that our first three November opponents are either on the list (K-ent at 8) or on the waiting list (Miami and Buffalo). Will we make our run in November?

Dave in Green
Beating an FCS team gets you a one-week reprieve? Time to beat a couple of FBS teams and get off this list for the rest of the season!

UA Fan
"Binky the Doormat": The Gophers have become the doormat of the Big Ten after losing to FCS foe North Dakota State 37-24 at home last week. Minnesota also lost to South Dakota in 2010. Thank goodness there's no East Dakota. Wow. They opened their new stadium in 2009 also.

Z.I.P.
This expert picker is taking the Lobos to beat the Aaahhh-ggies across the street from the Pit on Saturday (NMSU's Hawaiian QB was lost for the season -- after the win over lowly Minnie). I wonder if the UNM Fb team can outdraw the soccer team whose stadium adjoins the LoboBowl?
Lee Adams
Only New Mexico is in the way. Thats a little bogus. Didn't North Texas beat Indiana last week? Not that Indy is that good, but we can't beat 'em. New Mexico was dumb to get rid of the previous coach. At least he had some winning seasons. They seem to have the same disease Akron has. The folks in ABQ think the football program can consistently play at a higher level. ABQ is a nice place, just not for football. Great palce for B.ball though. Pretty good soccer team too.
