ZachTheZip Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology Right now, we're a 14 seed playing Notre Dame in Chicago. Quote
Dave in Green Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Can't get too excited, as they simply plug the current MAC leader into bracketology, and the Zips earned it for now by beating Can't. But everyone should be excited about even a hint that the MAC champion could wind up playing so close to home in Chicago. I have a feeling that if the Zips make the Big Dance, a lot of us would be waving to each other on the Ohio Turnpike. Quote

Dr Z Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 That bracket is messed up. It would have Akron playing Columbus State if they both won their first 3 games. I read somewhere that Akron doesn't compete with them??? Quote

MDZip Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 Miami is the current MAC Representative. And a 16 seed. Ugh. Quote

It happens all the time in the tourney. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted February 18, 2011 Author Report Posted February 18, 2011 The only benefit of being a 16 seed is the chance to play OSU in Cleveland. It may be the perfect scenario for a 16-seed to finally beat a 1-seed. It would also boost our program in unimaginable ways. Quote
RootforRoo44 Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 Bracketology is a joke...MIAMI?! That's laughable. Can't, Akron, WMU...in that order. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted February 18, 2011 Author Report Posted February 18, 2011 Bracketology is a joke...MIAMI?! That's laughable. Can't, Akron, WMU...in that order. Miami is in 1st place in the MAC. For the one-bid leagues, he just puts the current leader in. Since Miami has such a crappy non-conference record, they are a 16 seed. If Akron or Can't won, we would probably be 13 or 14 seeds. WMU would be a 16 through 14. Quote

They have ZERO chance at winning the MAC regular season or tournament. I'm that confident. Quote

It's his snapshot of the bracket, not a projection of where they'll be on selection sunday. Miami did just beat Can't while "missing their 2nd best or best player in Ballard and Mavunga is playing hurt". I would say that proves they have a better than ZERO chance. Anything can happen those three days in Cleveland. Quote

UAZipster0305 Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Can you imagine KD beating OSU in the NCAA Tourney and then iCoach beating Mr. Sweater Vest in September? We'd own them...Why is my alarm clock going off? Quote
