The beating NIU took does not look good nor does WMU losing to SDS. I am expecting rhe MAC to be signifanctly improved this year.

Why didn't CMUs double overtime loss make your list?

that was my fault...i would do the search (ctrl + F) on the ESPN scores site for "ALL" and forgot that they abbreviate the directional Michigans. I was typing in "Eastern Michigan" and nothing showed up...but that's because they keep it as "E Michigan"...

Anyways, here's the results from past couple of days, and today's MAC slate of games:

Wednesday's one MAC game:

Buffalo 68, Cornell 59

Yesterday's MAC games:

Temple 69, Western Michigan 55

Iowa 88, Northern Illinois 55

Today's slate of games:

Miami(OH) at #14 Xavier, 7:00pm

Akron at Valparaiso, 8:30pm

Western Michigan at Iona, 3:30pm (on ESPN3.com)

Ball State at Indiana State, 5:05pm

Toledo at Texas State, 5:30pm

Arkansas-Little Rock at Eastern Michigan, 7:00pm

Watching U@B getting the better of Dayton 38-22 at the half. McRae (sp?) looking improved as advertised and the Bulls look solid all around. Watt has really improved. They're a smart team and the 2-3 zone is killing the Flyers.

I think the Zips can still get it together, and that's a good thing because if they don't we could easily be looking at a 4th or 5th place finish in the East. It's that strong this year.

Buffalo just cruising now, up 80-50 with under 2:00 to go.

I saw a little bit of this game. I tuned in just in time to see the nasty alley oop to Mitchell Watt. I had to watch it a few times. The east really is going to be tough this year. Even BG got a nice win against Temple. I really believe the MAC has a chance at sending two teams to the dance this year.

Does anyone have any updates/info on Alex? The suspension is for reasons that cant be discussed, I get that. But cant it be announced how long he is suspended? 2 games, 2 weeks, till 2nd semester, whatever?? B-ball fans have anxiously awaited this season only to see the non-conference part of it deteriorate rapidly. Light at the end of the tunnel ( AA returning) would spark a little optomism.

Buffalo picked up another nice win for the MAC last night, absolutely demolishing Dayton at Dayton (on the heals of Dayton beating Wake Forest and Minnesota to win the Old Spice Classic tournament in Orlando last weekend). Filzen and Barnett could not miss a 3 point shot, and McCrea and Watt dominated inside. These guys looked very good. Interestingly Dayton is now 4-2 (0-2 in the MAC, having lost in OT at Miami earlier this year).

The Bulls have as much talent in their first 5 as anybody in the MAC, maybe more. PG and depth are their concerns but on a good night they can play with most anybody. Not sure why they were a little slow out of the gate but it would appear that they are molding into form.

the next two games are going to be a real test for the zips.we could easily be 3-5,but no reason to push the panic button.im sure the kd bashers will come out .just like they do every year if we are 3-5.after that we have five home games in a row plus marshall on the road. we should have everybody back by then.the zips need to win all those games before mac play starts.
