I-coaches' agent approached a mutual friend of mine, who asked me to put together a list of Zips fans who would be interested in meeting I-coach. We suggested a cocktail hour meeting at a local country club that we would personally pay to host. The same agent arranged a similar event for his other client who had just accepted a new position(Brian Kelly). The agent thought it was a great idea, I-coach, not so much. After waiting weeks for an answer, we were told thanks, but no thanks. He couldn't even be bothered to give up an hour or so of his precious time to get acquainted with the loyal fans. Quote
Dave in Green Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 I would think UA would be in charge of determining whether or not there should be a meet-and-greet with a new head coach, and that it would not be the coach's decision. If Ianello in fact personally rejected having a meet-and-greet, then shame on him and also shame on UA for not requiring him to do it. The fact that UA has announced a meet-and-greet even before the new coach has been announced is a positive sign. This is the way they need to handle these situations in the future if they are at all interested in building an enthusiastic fan base. Quote
