akronzips71
Do we play hard the last two games, trying for the at large we know we can never get OR Do we start Kyle and Luke and CJ and Egner and make sure none of our real players get hurt before the tourney? tpsjugglerdude
Play hard every game. They have a whole week off between Can't and our first tourney game.

We won't see Egner. Pretty sure he will be a medical redshirt as long as he doesn't play anymore this year.

Is Deji also a candidate for a medical redshirt? I wonder...

So not only do you want the starters to get 6 days off between K.e.n.t. and March 9th...you'd want their last game to be February 26th? Wow... Zip Watcher
I do think Dr Peterson should start the u@b game regardless of the circumstances.
akronzips71
The next three games our opponents will be playing for position in the tournament. If we clinch, we will be playing for nothing. They are really going to be tough games.

If we clinch, we will be playing for nothing. They are really going to be tough games. Good. Because we will have 6 full days between K.e.n.t. and the semifinals. Sit starters against K.e.n.t, an ESPN2 nationally televised game, because it will be a "tough game?" Can you imagine going to Cventinovic, Tree and Zeke and saying "Sorry guys, but I'm gonna shut you down for the remainder of the regular season. We're going to let K.e.n.t. wax us. That way we're fresh for next Friday."

Dave in Green
The next three games our opponents will be playing for position in the tournament. If we clinch, we will be playing for nothing. They are really going to be tough games. The Zips do have something at stake. They need to keep winning to try to earn the highest possible seed in the NCAA tournament. And they need tough games to toughen them up for both the MAC and NCAA tournaments. The Zips have no more easy games this season. They need to learn how to string together a series of wins over tough teams.
Let'sGoZips94
You want Can't and O-Who to lose every game possible, including to us, because they are playing for a bye. I don't want to see them in Cleveland before having to play 2 extra games to get there. Beat Buffalo, Can't, and O-Who. Win out. Plus, if we do that, it would mean we have a chance to tie Can't State's '02 record of 17-1 in the MAC. Play hard. Winning breeds winning. skip-zip
Playing all of our guys for regular minutes during that 5-day stretch of 3 games will actually help us PREPARE for the MAC tourney. I'll be surprised if our coaches are thinking about resting guys, unless there's some nagging physical problems with any of them.
Dr Z
We have a nine man rotation, nobody needs rest. If you want rest, do what KD said that Shaka told him he did, cut a practice.

Quickzips
The only thing I could see KD MAYBE doing is limiting Abreu's minutes a bit in the final 2 games. Alex is dealing with some injuries to his back right now, and that knee is probably still not 100%. Being our only true PG on the roster, I could see KD cutting his minutes to 18-22 minutes a night in the final couple of games so as not to put too much wear on Alex. It would also allow us to get Q a little more burn at PG which can only help going into tournament time. Outside of that, I expect KD to keep his rotations mostly the same.
