UAZipster0305
Ideally, I would have posted this last night. However, I make a similar post every year regarding the NCAA Tournament and who I'd like to see the Zips play. Teams of interest to me are big name schools, historically rare opponents for the Zips, schools that we trail in the all-time series against, or some combination there of. Considering prospective NCAAT Tournament teams based on the Top-25 rankings, RPI, and conference champions, my wish list includes (in no particular order): UCLA Indiana Cornell Syracuse Louisville SIU-Edwardsville UVA UNC Saint Louis Charlotte What are yours? I'm also rooting for Coastal Carolina and Akron Alum, Shaun Docking, to do well.
TennZip
do not want to see Indiana always a very emotional game.... and Zavaleta is a big time goal scorer
yazan07
West coast schools and southern schools who won't used to the cold weather. I also wouldn't mind repaying Charlotte and our old buddy David Mayer for last year. VCU could also be a fun one with Dave Giffard coming home to visit. Let'sGoZips94
Syracuse would be fun with Hartwick's former coach coaching the Orange now.
TheTank123
I want to play whoever the crappiest teams are. I could care less about payback or series records or what conference they are from. I want a national championship.
MDZip
Anyone know what network is televising the NCAA slection show? ESPN and Fox Soccer channel don't have it - is it televised? Or on-line somewhere?

I could care less about payback or series records or what conference they are from. I want a national championship. Right On! At this point of the season, this shtuff is not even entertainment! This is business now! I have difficulty enjoying these matches from the stands. National Championship is my only consideration. Whichever matchup gets me there is what I want. I could not care one wit about which coach or which player did what way back when. Frankly, I am surprised that some of you care about such things. I want the weakest schedule possible on the way to capturing the College Cup. There are no * in the record books.

GoZips88
Teams that have not played us before and might have trouble adapting to our style of play. Warm-weather schools that have lots of recruits from countries near the equator. PATH OF LEAST RESISTENCE!!!

UAZipster0305
There is no way we should have been anything less than #4! And not only that, we will likely play Michigan, again!
GoZips
UCLA is the sixth seed? They got screwed worse than the Zips.

UAZipster0305
Here are the top 16. Notre Dame Maryland Georgetown Uconn Akron UCLA Marquette St Louis UNC Louisville Tulsa Creighton New Mexico VCU Wake Forest Indiana I think UNC got screwed the most. Three Big East teams in the top four is ridiculous considering schedules, records, and the strength of the ACC. Yes, UNC got screwed worse than anyone; however, this is pretty poor for us too. #2 RPI, a single loss to the #1 RPI/seed team, one tie due to a poor offsides call, and one legitimate tie. It's unrealistic to expect anything better from Coach Porter or the team. I expected the results from the football and basketball games this past week, but I was totally unprepared for this. I thought after having won the National Championship, this program would finally get the respect it deserves, and things like the 2005 #12 seed and the circa 2006 Northwestern game getting moved to Chicago would be issues of the past. Pile this one onto the stack.
ZachTheZip
If our SoS was really that weak, it would have been reflected in the RPI.
