GoZips
For the UofA? Yes I do Why don't you post OOC schedule for the UA Zips fans actually care about? I can tell the readers that the OOC for 2013-14 is decent. It is not complete as of this date. However what is completed will give the Zips a solid SOS. Yeah, yeah, same old GoZips stuff. All tease and zero please. Sorry, can not reveal what I know at this time. The Diamond Head Classic is a done deal. The Zips are going to Hawai'i for Christmas. Potential opponents include Boise State. Iowa State, St. Mary's, South Carolina, George Mason, Oregon State, and Hawai'i. Like the Puerto Rico Tipoff, the Classic will be two brackets of four teams. All the teams will play three games. One OOC game scheduled for early in the season will be a big name opponent on the road, on ESPN. All I can say. Dave in Green
How about a cooperative effort putting together what we're pretty sure we know from unofficial channels. For example, I'm pretty sure there's an ongoing series with Cleveland State (this season's game should be in Cleveland). I think there may be an ongoing series with Middle Tennessee (that would also be a road game this season). Then I believe that Marshall may still owe the Zips a home game. The Zips seem to schedule at least one SWAC team at the JAR every season. And to close out BracketBusters, maybe the Zips will play a return game at North Dakota State this season. So, to start the list: At Diamond Head Classic Tournament (Boise State, Iowa State, St. Mary's, South Carolina, George Mason, Oregon State, Hawaii) At Cleveland State? At Middle Tennessee? Marshall? SWAC team(s) TBD? At North Dakota State?

zippy5
Plus we all know we can pencil in Arkansas Pine Bluff, NC A&T and John Carroll
taxpayer
Do you think a MAC Challenge Tournament would work? If ESPN could be involved I'd propose the following. Participants MAC - Zips, ou, cant Others: Cincy, osu, Xavier Site: Columbus (only way to drag osu in I believe) Why: Good games, easy & cheap travel & some TV money & good OCC games for all involved Fan bases would buy 1,000 per x 6 = 6,000 pre-sell. Walkups should be another 2-3000 in attendance. Could be a 4pm, 630pm 9pm night If osu declines invite Pitt/WVU/Dayton or the Valpo Homers

Akron, Cant, OU, Xavier, UC, Dayton, maybe Cleveland State and Wright State too. OSU would almost be shamed into joining, we'll let them host. I think ESPN would be all over that and would be a great draw.

Sorry, Zip In Paradise, the only way Akron plays the Bows is in the Diamond Head Classic. The Zippys will rush home to play mighty Coppin State around New Years Eve. Date not set yet. GoZips
Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail.................................. Well, the Zips tried to schedule Ohio State for a year end game at home. Thad Matta begged off as he felt his Buckys legs would be like jello after a two hour bus ride up I-71. Coming home; traveling across five time zones and about six thousand miles, fourteen hours of travel in coach class, the Zips will be groggy enough for any opponent. Coppin state is a reasonable opponent to get the travel kinks out. Some folks just are not real good at planning ahead. The objective is twenty-plus wins, win the MAC, get the ticket to the dance; not get one's brains beat out playing macho man. Think like a coach for a change. Thad Matta did. zippy5
Thad Matta plays a Big Ten schedule. He can play cupcakes out of conference. We play cupcakes all year, save four or five games. We've won the MAC and got our ticket to the dance a few times now. Time for more. Think bigger right?

Zipmeister
Fixed your first sentence. Once upon a time, the Zips tried to schedule Ohio State for a year end game at home. Thad Matta begged off as he felt his Buckys legs would be like jello after a two hour bus ride up I-71, and they all lived happily ever after. I'll give you Coppin State and 27.
taxpayer
To you RPI guru's; would it help us to entice Duquesne (A10) into a home & home series? Short travel, nice conference.
