MDZip Posted October 14, 2013 Report Posted October 14, 2013 And so it has come to this. It is unlikely Zips can lose this match and still get a first round bye in the NCAA tournament. http://www.wakeforestsports.com/sports/m-s...occer-body.html Demon Deacons still sit atop ACC. With the Zips currently at 40th in the RPI a loss could mean no NCAA tournament at all without winning the MAC (which is no foregone conclusion this year). This is a highly unaccustomed situation. Zips need to win here and against Michigan State to have any chance to climb back into a seeded position. Quote
TennZip Posted October 14, 2013 Report Posted October 14, 2013 Penn State is going to be another must win. The Nittanys are #15 in the RPI while Wake Forest is #22 Michigan State was hurt badly yesterday by their 1-1 tie against Ohio State Quote
fknbuflobo Posted October 15, 2013 Author Report Posted October 15, 2013 I believe I will attend The March tonight. I only waste my time on such silly practices when it really matters. Should I expect it around 6:00 pm? The team needs to feel both the love from their supporters and the gravity of the task at hand. Quote

Dave in Green Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 I assume the result you're happy with is the 1-0 Zips win. That was huge. Quote
fknbuflobo Posted October 16, 2013 Author Report Posted October 16, 2013 This was first quality match since victory over Furman. Well done, boys! Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Can GP1 inform us of the Wake Forest fan base's general mood following this crushing defeat? Quote
GP1 Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 Can GP1 inform us of the Wake Forest fan base's general mood following this crushing defeat? I don't follow soccer. My guess...Most Wake fans never get too excited or too upset. Sports are something they all do to take a break from counting their money. Quote
