akronzips71
This is not good. Sounds like he may just be upset at not winning, or maybe he thinks we should be using a different offense. Or maybe he is just disgusted with his team mates who appear to not be trying hard enough. LZIp
Without Tree there is not point in even following this team. I think I speak for most of Zipsnation when I say this: Screw off.

legendofzippy
I think I speak for most of Zipsnation when I say this: Screw off. Second that. Does anyone know Tree/his family at all? After the MAC championship last year I went down on the court, and for a while I was standing next to a large group of people that were clearly family. It turned out to be Tree's family, and when he made his way over they struck me as very supportive and proud of him. That's virtually nothing to go on, but my thought/hope is that he has a decent support group, so hopefully that's true and they help him out. It's easy to forget - especially with a guy like Tree - that these are young guys. I did dumb stuff in college but I didn't do it under a spotlight, and certainly not in this news environment. Dr Z
From the Ohio.com story by George When asked if Treadwell had quit, Dambrot said: “I don’t know.” When asked if he has suspended the 6-foot-7 senior forward, he said: “No comment.”
zippy5
Methinks KD suspended him for whatever he did at the end of the last game and Tree wasn't a fan. Hopefully he wises up

Maybe he just needs a mental break. With the schedule, now's a good time to take one.

Can someone grab the wheel on this ship! Time for coach Bowden's advice...[i]love em up. Make a few practices fun. Get on the phone with Tree, TB! If you can’t talk him into returning for hoops, maybe you can solve some of your own D-Line depth issues in 2014
ZachTheZip
My best guess is Tree is having a sort of identity crisis.
GP1
I agree with A. Iverson on this one. Let him miss a couple of practices and clear his head if that's what he needs to do. Who knows?.... We are only talking about practice.

Dr Z
Get on the phone with Tree, TB! If you can’t talk him into returning for hoops, maybe you can solve some of your own D-Line depth issues in 2014I'm guessing Tree needs some time right now. For whatever reason if he doesn't find his way back to the court, I like him at tight end at 235lbs. Line him up in the slot, no safety can get a high thrown ball away from him, and few linebackers could cover his seventeen yard sprint. That position seems to translate well between the two sports. I always thought he looked like a TE.

johnnyzip84
Just so it’s perfectly understood, I expect Tree to be back playing hoops at UA before too long. But, I’ll always be somewhat enamored by his gridiron potential. He and KD will work it out.

I would suggest you please take a deep breath and walk away from the keyboard before making a post like that. Fair enough if I am not speaking for you, but I happen to take a great deal of offense to a poster saying the team has no point in being supported support if the best player isn't on it. There are other players out there busting their asses and do not think any "deep breaths" are needed when a comment like that is made.
