zippy5
Malik Miller from Farrell, PA, down the road from me, is being recruited by KD. He was at the Toledo game I believe and Akron coaches were at a few of his games the past few weeks. Averaging 23 ppg, he's a 2 guard. They just beat Kennedy Catholic last night at a pretty packed Beeghly Center (pretty strange for a PIAA semi, but YSU is 15 minutes from each HS) to advance to the state final. There isn't much out there on him, but thought some may be interested by that.

Blue & Gold
In the Pennsylvania Class A state championship game, Malik Miller's Farrell High got blown out 85-53 by Philadelphia's Constitution High.Malik, however, scored 24 points and was named Farrell player of the game. zippy5
Apparently Constitution contemplated playing up to AAAA this year but stuck in A (smallest division). The private schools in Philly are getting ridiculous. I know they have a few D-1 players out of a graduating class of 60. Good to see Malik held his own. zippy5
Yeah I wouldn't expect a lot from The Herald Interesting, I didn't know he was offered.
Dave in Green
VerbalCommits.com has been my go-to for best recruiting info, but they don't yet show an offer for Malik. They currently show open offers to 8 other players in addition to the verbal from Isaiah Williams.
zippy5
Malik passed Julius McCoy a couple weeks ago for the Farrell scoring record. Julius was an All American at Michigan State. I haven't heard much on his recruitment this year.
Blue & Gold
http://wkbn.com/2016/04/26/miller-to-continue-career-at-iup/ Miller gives verbal to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (UIP). A D-2 program. The video says Akron offered him, but the article says Akron only expressed interest.
zippy5
I'm guessing he wasn't ever offered

But of course, you never know all of the circumstances why someone might have slipped down to that level.
Blue & Gold
Western PA basketball isn't nearly what WPA football is. It's a far cry from NEO.
