ZippyRulz Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Great comment by Jerrod Cherry on the TV broadcast. "Chapman may not be ready to be the featured player in this offense but Conor Hundley has proven that he is". I don't understand why they don't use him more.Yeah, maybe let him run it in for a TD instead of throwing a pick. Quote
lance99 Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 If anything, it is the Cody Grice Show today...... Quote
K92 Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Back in the van. This is a 100% embarrassment. No fractions. No decimal places. Savannah State is about as good as Copley High School. Someone needs fired yesterday. 1-11 here we come. Quote
AKSportsFan Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Woodson for President! (and Zips starting QB) Quote
zipsoutsider Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Woodson for President! (and Zips starting QB)Woodson has always thrown the ball well and I believe has the nicest looking pass... when he doesn't throw it to the wrong team. Let's hope he has really grown in his ability to not throw it to the other team. Quote

Someone needs fired yesterday. 1-11 here we come. It's now 28-9, you're giving up way too early.Hell ball sack "ballsy" how do you like woodson now.he blows!!After that bullet for the TD, looks better than Pohl. Pohl throws Redzone INTs all the time also. Bottom line is: we need better play from our QB. Coach needs to committ to a QB. At the moment it looks like it should be Woodson or Pohl. Chapman hasn't done anything to prove he should even be a backup. Pohl can't stay healthy, and Woodson needs to live to play another down. Quote
zipsoutsider Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 I had predicted a 41-7 game today and we are on pace for that. No doubt about it, we have had to our share of ugliness, but not willing to go down the 1-11, fire Bowden path, yet. 28-9 is a respectable halftime score, despite the ugliness earlier. Quote
Dave in Green Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Is the curse lifted? The rain fizzled and Woodson sizzled. Quote

Never given up yet. This offensive scheme is a joke. Savannah State is not as good as some local hs teams. Hopefully the Chapman experiment is over and Bowden gets a clue and starts running the air raid again. We installed a joke offense for a D2 QB Swallow your pride and run the Air Raid with tempo. Or not and go 1 -11. Quote
dre22era Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 I really hope today motivates the team.If I was a student I would of at least took advantage of the $2 pizza deal today. Quote
dre22era Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 In other news that school 10 miles away has 96 total yards through 3 quarters. Quote
MDZip Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Glad to see Hundley get the score. He has worked his ass off today. 1 Quote

Apparently he got the memo on the Chapman experiment and TW13 has started the whole second half, gunslinging the ball around and seems to have the best control on this offense than any of the other QBs. Really nice to see. Newman Williams left the game in the first half I haven't seen him back. Hope they are just being overly cautious. Quote
K92 Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 News flash: Savannah State are the Keystone Kops of D1. The only thing that could be judged from this game was total annihilation or not. Not. Quote
RowdyZip Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 So Chapman is back for a 3 and out and a punt after Woodson puts together the best qb play we've seen all year. Makes sense. Quote

RowdyZip Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 We were up by a lot. Garbage time.I'd buy that except most of the rest of the first team offense was out there still. Quote
zippy5 Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 I haven't been able to watch a down yet this year, but this staff needs to pick a QB and stick with him. This rotation isn't doing anyone any good. Looks like Woodson looked okay today, if that's the case - give him the keys and see what happens. Quote
ZippyRulz Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 One of the QB's needs to step up and take the job. Staff needs to recruit. Quote
UA1987 Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Woodson won the job today. He should get most of the snaps this week, if not, something other the first two games stinks in Zip Ville. Still hold out hope for Pohl. Chapman needs much more work as he seems too jittery, but he should find some niche for Akron.I thought Savannah State put up a good fight after losing their starting QB 2 weeks ago. As a Zips fan, I can sympathize with them.Lastly, I don't think it necessary for opposing teams to cover Pratt when he is as no one throws to him anymore (Wolf only gets a look every now and then). I know Andrew had some drops last year, but this change is striking. Quote
infofan Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 i have to throw my vote ( as if it matters) to Thomas Woodson for our starter after today. With Kyle Pohl still in the mix pending his condition. Who ever thought wed get 626 yards in a single game? It looked bad early on both in terms of execution and penalties, but it sure turned around (what changed?)and we shut down the penalties and the Tigers. Lastly did you guys catch the announced attendance? 16,763! Quote
