johnnyzip84 Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) The line on the Ball St/UMass game surely shifted a ton. I believe BSU opened as a 3 point favorite. And no, I won't stop calling you Shirley Edited October 30, 2015 by johnnyzip84 Quote

LoyalZIP Posted November 3, 2015 Report Posted November 3, 2015 Tonight's Toledo vs. NIU game is huge. If the Rockets win, they'll probably keep winning and end NIU's MAC West championship streak. If the Huskies win, Toledo has just about no shot at playing in a New Year's Six bowl. Quote
LZIp Posted November 3, 2015 Report Posted November 3, 2015 Toledo needs a lot of help as it is for a New Year's day bowl. Unfortunately, the AAC has 3 good teams this year and I'd bet on at least one of them finishing above Toledo even if the Rockets were to go undefeated.Don't think it matters though, I have BG beating Toledo. LoyalZIP Posted November 4, 2015 Report Posted November 4, 2015 Toledo is ranked at 24 in the first CFP top 25. I'm surprised to see them ahead of Houston, honestly. Quote

zipsoutsider Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 BGSU putting up 62 points against OU tonight. Johnson just a couple yards shy of 4,000 yards in last 10 games. I don't see another MAC team beating them for the conference title. Quote
Dr Z Posted November 5, 2015 Author Report Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) I don't see another MAC team beating them for the conference title. They play like they did against the Zips, I don't see them losing to another team. I'm looking forward to seeing how Toledo defends BG's offense on 11/17. Edited November 5, 2015 by Dr Z Quote
K92 Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 During last night's broadcast, did anyone catch what Dino Babers calls tempo? The 12th man.I totally agree and I don't know why every head coach in FBS hasn't seen the light. Can you imagine if Alabama jettisoned Lane Kiffin and installed Dino as the OC? With the way they recruit they would score 100 points a game. 1 Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) I like how BG never takes their foot off the pedal. Up by 40 points with 4 minutes remaining, they're still scoring TDs. I wish the Zips had that killer offensive mentality. Going back to the Toledo / NIU game, NIU going for a long pass on 3rd and 39, and connecting, was awesome. Likewise, Toledo's successful fake punt inside their own 30 was gutsy. The Zips need to make some gutsy offensive calls if they're ever going to turn their 2- and 8-point losses into wins. And, not have 12 men on the field when they do it. Edited November 5, 2015 by Captain Kangaroo Quote

It also takes some time to get your team into the physical condition necessary to run that offense and defense. It is a little hard when you are still heavily relying on transfers to get everyone there.I like how BG never takes their foot off the pedal. You look like a genius when they work and an idiot when they don't. Lesser teams will occasionally successfully pull off a trick play, the better the team, the higher the likelihood of being successful. We also lost the play we would run when we would let D'Orazio throw. That was a nice option for us. I wonder if Jerome can throw the ball? Quote

LoyalZIP Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 I watched the Can't vs. UB game and I'm not remotely intimidated by either of them. I thought Buffalo would look much better having smacked Ohio, but maybe their 51-14 loss at CMU was no fluke. Quote

I completely believe we can beat all four teams we have left but could also get beat by all four teams. We are all fighting to prove that we are not the bottom of the conference. Quote

LoyalZIP Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 I don't think anyone was remotely intimidated by them last year. . .I'm talking about THIS year. Buffalo returns a good, experienced senior quarterback and a great running back as well as a decent defense, but they haven't played that well at all. They only seem to play really well at home, as their only road game against a decent MAC team was a 37 point loss to CMU. Their two road MAC wins were by 5 over a terrible Miami team and by 1 over a Can't team that averages like 10 points from their offense. They hammered Ohio and only lost 28-22 to BG in their home MAC games. Playing them at InfoCision is a huge advantage, especially if we win the next two. Quote

LoyalZIP Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 So. . .you're saying they were good last year? Not sure what your point is.My point is that they play like crap on the road despite having a good quarterback and running back as well as a respectable defense. I never said they were good last year. Quote

LoyalZIP Posted November 7, 2015 Report Posted November 7, 2015 Watching EMU vs. Miami (not sure why, it's torture) and Miami has sacked EMU's QB 8 times with over a quarter to play. Quote
LoyalZIP Posted November 7, 2015 Report Posted November 7, 2015 Miami wins 28-13 picking up their first MAC win and ending an 8 game losing streak. Quote
