I would love to get that deal from Columbus.

OSU agreed to a home and home series with Toledo a few years back with Toledo's "home game" being at Cleveland Browns Stadium. Something like that might be attainable in the future.

For those interested, you can scout Appy State on WatchESPN tonight at 7:30. They go into Neyland to face the probable vastly overrated (again) Volunteers.

After 1 half of football, it appears clear TN will drop in the poll.

Go Appy St. (until you play us :-).

a ranked Appy State coming to the Info would be pretty damn fun. Road win over #9 and a home win vs. the U...and it might be a real possibility.

Yes, I think that would be a real possibility with two wins like that.  If not, they'd certainly be getting plenty of Top-25 votes by that time.

But, surviving the 2nd half in Knoxville is still a tall task.  And trying to regain concentration after a big upset to pull off another one the following week would be even taller.

Perhaps a victory over the Hurricanes wouldn't be an upset.

I've seen this movie before.  Mid-major with a great opportunity to get a big upset on the road.  Looking good through 3 quarters and then

I hate this movie. :(

BTW something to watch going forward is that the Sunbelt preseason DPOY (Law) has been down a few times. Might just be cramps though...

C'mon ASU, dry your crotch and win this game!!

Definitely re-wetted the crotch. Still not dead yet though. That was some bad clock management.

Replay on ESPN...see who Dustburger introduces himself as this week. I honestly thought he retired, or got fired.

I'm happy the staff has this game on film. Should provide a lot of information to the defense, as App St runs a lot of different personnel packages. They run 20, 12, and 10 personnel on their first three plays. The game will definitely catch the attention of the Zips players.

I thought App State played great. They executed their game plan perfectly. In OT, that stick at the goal line was awesome.

As with a lot of G5 college teams...having a kicker that can't convert a simple extra point cost them the game.

Until I see a couple kicks from our guy, I'm justifiably concerned about the Zips extra point conversions and FG's this season too.

Especially since on the depth chart no kicker was named as first team, which means no one has stood out yet. Very concerning.

Yup.

We seem to sign kickers and punters late and as we improve as a program that needs to change in order to get quality specialists.

Wasn't the missed FG in Q4 a 42 yarder? I don't get the SEC network so was trying to follow via ESPN play by play so I might be wrong. A 42 yard Eric is not a gimme and Neyland is a very intimidating venue with the sea of orange.

On a side note, I do love hearing, "Rocky's Top" echo through the stadium after a score.
