Suffice it to say that last year's MAC Championship participants will not likely be returning. And Miami hung tough with Cincinnati and Buffalo who's looked awful beat previously-undefeated Army. The directional Michigan's are now a combined 10-2. And the Zips have offense and no defense. Wrong is right, up is down, dogs and cats are living together. +1 BG looked completely demoralized. It might be a long, turbulent season. EMU and Ball State appear to be stronger this year. We can't take BSU too lightly. Both teams remind me of the 5-7 Zips, capable of a big win at some point. Central continues to look tough.
Balsy
Updated for the final week of OOC. I agree with the comments made, the Zips have the best chance they've had in a long time to take the East. It's between Ohio and Akron for the MAC East. What is going on at BGSU and NIU? Anyone have any insight?
LZIp
I don't really know much about NIU, but the pundits picking BGSU to walk away with the East this year was just lazy, IMO. Lost starting QB, top 2 WRs. One who is in the NFL, the other playing for the #1 team in the country. I think somebody else was kicked off as well? Starting RB gone. All great players. New, first time head coach who only has positional experience at the collegiate level. Doesnt shock me much at all that there is an apparent drop off, but a drop off of this level..yikes. There was way to much leaving BG for it nit to be disruptive. Perhaps most importantly, they lost the head coach.

Blue & Gold
Not sold on EMU. Yeah, they're 4-1, but their wins are against: Mississippi Valley State Charlotte Wyoming (nice win?) BGSU (team of the utter implosion) They got handled by Mizz 61-21. I think the Eagles fall back to their natural habitat toward the bottom of the MAC West beginning this week against Toledo. After UT they've got OU, then WMU. Bye, bye, birdies. Edited October 5, 2016 by Blue & Gold

I agree - I still see them getting to 6 wins and making a bowl game, which would still be a good season for them.

But, I still don't think this is the year it happens. 2) I'm shocked that they put us ahead of CMU. 3) I'm even more shocked that they think that BG is the worst team in the league. They aren't good, but still good enough to beat some teams in this league.
Captain Kangaroo
Bottom 25 My favorite line (and there are a couple good ones): 24. Texas State, 2-2 (15): Beating Incarnate Word is worth about as much as beating Microsoft Word would be, Texas State.

So Ohio lost to Texas State that is on this list and won against Miami and Kansas that are also on the list. Their other win was against Gardner Web and the other loss was to Tennessee.
