Dr Z Posted September 16, 2016 Author Report Posted September 16, 2016 Thunder in Paradise Prediction – Marshall 49 – Akron 17 I suspect the Zips will hit a couple of big plays against a Marshall secondary still trying to find itself. That same secondary will also come up with at least two turnovers, thanks in part to a Thundering Herd pass rush that should begin to overwhelm the Akron offensive line in the second half. On the offensive side of the ball, Litton and company will have another big day through the air. But, I also look for Marshall to establish more of a consistent ground game in week two than it did in week one, after a mediocre performance by the Herd offensive line in run blocking. Quote

Then we need a counter Zip in Paradise prediction - or we would if he ever paid attention to football. ;-) I don't think there is any way Marshall puts up that kind of a score on the Zips, that's almost the same beating as was absorbed in Madison and while Marshall has talent I don't think it's Wisconsin level talent. With the Zips probably missing Warren Ball and in line with prediction in this thread I'll go Marshall 35 Zips 27. Edited September 16, 2016 by MDZip Quote

Akron might very well lose by 15+, but by 32? That seems kind of steep. Quote
Section210Zip Posted September 16, 2016 Report Posted September 16, 2016 The score prediction is ridiculous but I found it funny that you could switch the words Akron and Marshal around in that article and not notice. Our strengths and weaknesses seem to be the same. 1 Quote
Dr Z Posted September 17, 2016 Author Report Posted September 17, 2016 Hope the Zips score 40, win, and Jojo scores three TDs. Good luck to all participants. Go Zips!!! 2 Quote
roopride Posted September 17, 2016 Report Posted September 17, 2016 Go ZIPS!!! Is Bell a game time decision or is he out? Time me for these guys to step up and make it happen. Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted September 17, 2016 Report Posted September 17, 2016 I'll guess the two times we beat Marshall back in the Owens Days we were equally as big and underdog? It would be great to see the offense meet their potential today and put up 40+ points. I think that's what we'll need to do to win this one. Quote
Dr Z Posted September 17, 2016 Author Report Posted September 17, 2016 Only LZip, GJGood, zipsoutsider, and CK have a chance to win this week, since the Zips exploded for 41 points in the first half. Note: Of those four, only zipsoutsider picked the Zips to win. Quote

Dr Z Posted September 17, 2016 Author Report Posted September 17, 2016 Congratulations, zipsoutsider!!! Great predictions. You are the lone winner. Quote
