Shooting an unheard of 26% from the field. I'd expect that to go up. Gonzaga shooting 28%. Unfortunately that almost has to go up as well.

At first, I thought Hughes and Robotham were just firing each other up, but the 2nd time I saw it, they were clearly yelling at each other. 

 

It's a miracle we're down 6 shooting 0 for 11 from long range.  I really just think we're rushing those shots with the way they can defend the perimeter.

Without the double team our offense looks stagnant.  Kwan is playing well but is only 1 of 7.  Noah and Josh cannot penetrate and have not scored.  The announcers have Big Dog with 2 fouls but I think he has only 1.  We have to start penetrating or hitting our 3 ball to stay in this game.  Been impressed with the defense and rebounding.  Now we need to create some offense.

Meanwhile Michigan and UCLA are tied at 50 at half having made 22 three pointers between them.  And ESPN has Michael Hughes listed as our top performer!

Two of the very best perimeter defenses in the NCAA.  ESPN shows 27% to 25% shooting in Gonzaga's favor -- if you will.

We've rebounded them 25-20.  10-6 offensively.  That's keeping it close.

Great cut by Ivey and great pass by Big Dog.  The one time they doubled Antino hits the 3 so I do not think we will see any more double teams.

Kuntowski is obviously an acting major.  His reaction was 2 seconds after Big Dog put an elbow on his back.

Well we competed for 35. Zags are obviously more talented, but pretty proud of the effort, just need to play better to win these games. You can take a lot more from this game and Creighton's game than Coppin State. Should help come March.
