I know of one former players' parents who were upset that he was not played after a concussion. Just because people complain, doesn't make it valid. I don't think Jerome Lane even showed up for the awards banquet. I don't think there was any doubt that JoJo deserved that award and it's too bad that his mom had to take to social media about it. 1 hour ago, Zipgrad01 said: That is my entire point, but everyone just wants to shrug all this off as nothing. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. With the pathetic 2nd half performance last year I tend to pay more attention to things like this, especially when all the noise came from your best players and supposed leaders. No, people just get tired of every thread turning into an anti-Bowden thread - there have been at least three in the last week. Does every discussion have to be about what is wrong with the program? LTT served us well and we served him well. There seems to be no ill-will towards Akron. There is a presumption of ill-will, by some, but that does not make it so. Gehrig Dieter took a shot at Alabama and it paid off for him - he got to play in the CFB championship game. There is a glass ceiling for MAC schools and LTT is talented enough to play for one of the higher ranked schools - why wouldn't he, if playing for a national championship is a dream? There the kicker. Gotta be an obscure degree I'd imagine for UA not to offer it. Big bet to make on yourself IMO. USF has one of the nation's premier graduate programs in applied anthropology. America needs more ethnographic experts in the social dynamics of athletic culture. Maybe he can write his thesis on what makes athletes compete despite the dangers associated with the brain - jarring violence of their sport. Or he could study how masculine "locker room culture" effects the political and cultural relations between the sexes. Seems he may already have insights that could serve as ready-made academic models for discussion. The issues he has dealt with in his own life can help him be a leader and an educator with his intellectual talents. And, he can employ his football experience as a laboratory of knowledge. Best wishes to the young man.

zzx
Looks like LTT has ended up at UTEP: According to this article, he will probably battle for a starting position at Left Tackle

kreed5120
I thought he transferred because Akron didn't offer the grad program he wanted? If so, I don't know what's the shock.
