I think he might have the most talent; decision making will remain to be seen.

UA1987
Question: Has Akron had this kind of participation in Summer voluntary workouts in prior years? This type of effort is how you get the edge. This is how you win. Edited June 12, 2017 by UA1987
Cykron
These special intense workouts are great for building community within the team. Coach Campbell (Iowa State) told about how the lack of seriousness about regular practices, as well as voluntary workouts made him get disillusioned as a D1 athlete until he saw what Mount Union was doing with voluntary workouts with no coaches present. That was the start of "the process" he used at Toledo and now Iowa State.

Looks like about the same size crowd as they usually get. 5 hours ago, Cykron said: These special intense workouts are great for building community within the team. Probably will turn-up to be a previously unknown heart condition. Thoughts out to those in the Kent State community. Rivalries are a fun, but we can always get behind each other when a tragedy like this happens.
Ham
Right on Balsy! This reminded me when Burkhart reached out to the Kent stud after his season ending injury.

Zipmlady
Wow... me too; what a feeling. Gosh, is it naive to think energy like this can translate into wins?

72 Roo
I'm really glad that our team is ready to give dance lessons. Now if they can only give football lessons to our opponents. That will be even more heartening. Remember every other team on our schedule is working the snot out of their players this summer and all are getting bigger, stronger and faster. I love the enthusiasm but after last fall they have something to prove to me. Come on Zips, I want to believe.

Even though you're right that everyone else is doing the same thing, I still enjoy seeing the videos. But I'm already a Zips Football fan. I wonder if these things have any influence at all on the people who we need to "buy into" Zips Football ?
72 Roo
Just to cover my ass, I like the videos too. I look forward to seeing as many as they can put together. They give us hope and as Andy Dufraine in the Shawshank Redemption says "hope is a good thing, perhaps the best of things." I'm a fan but I still want proof this is a good football team. I'll be there to see them in the fall. I hope the videos convince others to come too.

I know they can't practice, right now, but it's hard to buy into the hype with the reservations I have about 2017. I hope my reservations are completely unfounded.
