My cable provider does not carry ESPN3.  They carry every other ESPN On TV, but not ESPN 3.

Are there any watch parties?

If you have a smart tv, there should be a Watch ESPN app. As long as you have a cable plan that includes ESPN you can use your cable acct info to watch all ESPN 3 games on that app. Or download the app to a tablet, or just search ESPN 3 on the computer and watch there.

Wasn't our AD the AD at Marquette when we played there on an iced-over field? It's a crappy tactic that increases the chance for injuries, even if it's done in the name of home-field advantage.

yes, Larry was at Marquette at the time.....

However, it was about 0 to 5 above at game time.....nature took care of the field

no behind the scenes field doctoring from Larry's friends at Marquette

I know we gripe about the Beacon not covering the zips...

However, the beacon sends a rented reporter to kalamazoo

The alton, Illinois paper sends a reporter to Kalamazoo...to cover SIU-E (see attached article-....more grousing about the last throw in)

if you look at Kalamazoo paper...they only have press release from WMU

That's code for......

"We're going to make it look like thousands of people will be there, because we're begging you to come and support us".

They only drew 200 for their final home game this year, and only 500 yesterday.

WMU drew a record crowd (1500+) when the ZIps visited earlier this season. Having been there, the crowd looked sizable, but since they don''t sell tickets to regular season matches, and do not have turnstiles, I don't know how they count or how accurate their count could be,

If the weather is as crappy as it is predicted to be, I do not foresee a large number of fans sitting out in that weather when they can watch at home on ESPN3.

They show 1,200 for that Akron game.  But still, that does seem to be an indication that they will draw crowds much larger than normal for the Zips.

I wonder how many of those 1,200 people were Zips fans?  Do you recall how many others were there?

This actually sounds like an opportunity to get our fans up there and outnumber them.  But, not many will make that trip in those weather conditions.

20-30 of us as I recall.

I plan to be there, but in addition to miserable weather, it is a long drive, too. Not as far as SIU-E or NIU, but not as close BUGS or WVU. It makes for a long day.

their web site shows an attendance of 2,317 when they hosted and defeated Michigan

their web site shows an attendance of 3,422 when they hosted Michigan State (that was the game where their goalie got hurt and it took them 45 minutes to get an ambulance there)

Ok. So, perhaps the record crowds were when they played UM & MSU. That makes sense given the proximity. MSU is just up the road, and they don't have lights either.

Good luck to you if you're going. It's about a 4 1/2 hour drive in good weather. If the Lake Michigan lake-effect flares up, though...

Thanks. From Brunswick, it's only about a 3.5 hour drive in good weather.

That's crazy.  They only got 200 and 500 the last two games, and they are ranked and playing for a MAC title.

I bet it's one of those cases where the Michigan people show up to see the Spartans and Wolverines.

Regardless of the device, I eventually need to access my cable provider MCTV, who inexplicably does not provide ESPN3.
