The #1 weapon against the zone is team chemistry. Off the ball movement, knowing where those guys are gonna be moving to off the ball, etc. With the limited time this team has together, especially in a competitive environment, the slow start doesn't surprise me.

Right now - if LCJ doesn't play lights out - we are a below average MAC team. I love the Enrique story, but he still looks like our second best player and that shouldn't be the case. Players need to step up.  These games can happen against this gimmicky style of play as well. Luckily we have a cupcake lined up next with NIU before a showdown with Toledo. I'd like coach to shorten the rotation up some, but I'm sure its difficult since nobody is really standing out.

Zips in a funk and that happens sometimes, but damn, they're getting outworked and that's unacceptable.

 

It only took Rob Murphy 10 years to discover have three huge lumbering players in the game doesn't make you a good defensive team.
