Agreed.  The MAC coaches give Vander Plas a lifetime achievement award by putting him on the first team.  Freeman scores .9 a game less while pulling down over 4 more rebounds a game.  He's also a presence on defense.  He's more worthy than VDP.   For what is is worth, I think Plowden is more deserving than VDP.  

 

I'd also take Rollins over Carry for MVP.

Normally I don’t comment a lot on these awards but it does seem a little suspect that they can name a guy defensive player of the year and that same guy can be the only one in the conference averaging a double double on offense and he still not be first team.

Not to mention he embodies the true definition of STUDENT-athlete.
