Noreen knew that she would be fired after this season....and did the Zips dirty with resigning for another job in the summer. Also, you can blame Larry Williams and George Van Horne for giving Noreen a multi year contract. Noreen should have been fired after last year's 3-15-1 but Akron could not afford to buy out her contract for the fall 2022 season. Noreen, Loser Larry and George VH......did not represent Akron Athletics in a good manner. If the is a Mount Rushmore of garbage athletic directors, the Zips have three of the top four enshrinees in the annals of Division 1 athletics in Helsel, Wistercill and Williams. What did Zips fans ever do to deserve that tripe? It ain’t fair.

72 Roo
I am amazed at how adroitly Larry Williams has leveraged his credentials of Notre Dame, pro football and a law degree in order to get jobs in which he does absolutely nothing. At Akron he made the situation worse than what he inherited and then bailed before he was held accountable to fix it. Good luck USF. Your search committee did not do their job. 1

TennZip, I was very nicely surprised to see the women's result from NIU, a very nice win on the road! And I fully acknowledged the roster was not the blame of the new staff. And as you said, I am giving the new coaching staff a chance. But my first impression of her style of play worried me knowing the game as played in the better MAC schools, and if she is a good coach, she'll realize this at some point and adapt. As far as the previous coach doing "the Zips dirty", who among us, knowing they were going to lose their job, would not be beating the bushes and applying for new positions now, and if offered one, wouldn't take it? I can't see someone saying, "oh gee, get back to me with that offer in three months when I get fired from my current job." Bird in the hand, as they say....
