Good opportunity here to finish strong going into the Big East tourney. Where is the tourney held this year?

Campus sites for the first round - Soccer Plex in Boyds Maryland for the final four - same place as last year - when the Zips were not a participant.

Now more goals than games played, is that any good? What a pickup from LIU. Villanova also has an Emil. He did not have a hat trick tonight.

After last Tuesday night's win, the zips were #34 in RPI

strength of schedule for the zips was #44

Playing Villanova (1-7-4 record).....really hurt the Zips in RPI   (Villanova is currently #184 in RPI)

as of 3 pm....on Sunday October 13, the Zips are #47 in RPI

strength of schedule for the Zips dropped all the way to #94

opponent strength of schedule for the zips .....is #16

other Big East teams in the top 50

Georgetown                                          6

Providence                                           22

Seton Hall                                             45

RPI for remaining teams on Zips schedule

DePaul                                                 92

Creighton                                            56

Marquette                                           85

UConn                                                 68

The zips are playing well now.  However, the early season losses to Temple (#160 in RPI) and IU-Indy (#133) are hurting the zips in RPI.

Interesting that the East Division will likely have seeds 2-6, meaning that if the Zips get 1 or 2 seed they will have to play a Midwest division team for the second time this season in the first round. Hopefully Seton Hall and Providence can dispatch Xavier in the regular season. Don’t want to see them again.

Creighton dominated Villanova this afternoon

Creighton led 8-2 in shots on goal

game was 2-0 at half time and was 3-1 final score

Creighton is now 2-2-1 in the league

Villanova drops to 0-5 in the league

Creighton has now won 2 straight big East games.

Last Saturday night, Creighton defeated a good Xavier team 1-0.

Zips will have to play well Wednesday night at home against Creighton.

and yes, the Zips need to be looking for revenge for last year's loss to the Blue Jays.
