Copley Don
The Gensler Era enters its second season kicking off hosting Georgia State in the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge Monday night. I'm not really sure what our expectations should be with Reagan heading to West Lafayette and a lot of new faces on the squad but I'm looking forward to seeing the girls back in action. Edited November 4 by Copley Don It’s actually HOME not away 🤦🏼♂️

MDZip
Opening game against Ga State, the offense looks ok, need a bit of work on the defensive side. Down 42-34 at the half.
MDZip
Man have they stepped it up defensively in the second half. Georgia state has yet to score. Zips lead by two.

MDZip
Nice opening game win. 81-73. Down 15 early in the game. Nice contributions from several portal transfer players.
Copley Don
What an impressive 3rd quarter! I also think the backdrops up top look sharp and create a more aesthetically pleasing, intimate, and focused game watch experience.

zipsrule
Zips down at the half to Binghamton, 32-26.
MDZip
They need to cut down on their turnovers and stop giving up so many critical offensive rebounds or this one will not go their way.
zipsrule
With 8:07 left in the 4th. we are down 47-40.
zipsrule
The Zips fall 66-50.
MDZip
Ugly 4th quarter collapse. Brown and Vejsicky had pretty good games but if you take them out of the shooting equation, the rest of the team shot only 27%. That isn't going to get it done. And Binghamton had nearly as many offensive rebounds as the Zips had defensive rebounds.
ewbrooman1
I see most weekday home games are scheduled for 6 pm. It doesn't seem to me like that's going to help attendance much unless the food has gotten a lot better at the JAR. I know it will keep me away most nights. Z.I.P.
Gensler's 2025 recruiting class includes Kailee Bransford, whose sister KK was two-time Ohio Miss Basketball at Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame and plays for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in South Bend. Interesting!
Z.I.P.
Zips tied up at 43 apiece with a very good Cleveland State team at the JAR at the half. Both teams are shooting lights-out. 58% CSU to 53% Akron. Vikings made 7 of 12 three-pointers to 4 of 9 for the Zips first half and surely can't keep that up the whole game! I believe Akron led 30-22 before CSU went on about a 17-8 run, but the home team responded to draw even after 2 quarters.
Z.I.P.
Taniesha Clarke leading Akron with 20 points midway through 3rd quarter. Tied 55 all.
Z.I.P.
62-61 Vikings after 3 quarters. This type of performance should be the confidence builder the team needs. Akron scores first to take the lead in the final period.
Z.I.P.
Kam'ten Rhodes and Alexis Mobley with a pair of crucial 3-pointers give Akron the lead 79-74 with 1:15 remaining. Upset Alert!!
