This should be an auto-win but given our circumstances let’s hope to see the girls rally tonight and end the 6 game slump. Looks like there aren't even 25 fans on the east side. 😕

It sucks for sure but I don't blame the fans not going. Edited February 6 by WeRise225
Hilltopper
The girls put up a great effort but just fell short. A couple of close calls in the last 3 minutes resulted in a 5 point swing for WMU. Shelbee Brown was amazing with 32 pts and 19 rebounds.
72 Roo
I watched the entire game to see exactly what state of condition this team was in. I get that they are dealing with unprecedented injuries and player issues, but they don't play good basketball. I don't equate winning basketball with good basketball. I was focused on how they played and what they were coached to do. Neither were impressive. Maybe they can turn it around next season, I hope so. But I saw nothing in this game that indicated the program has a solid footing.

Hilltopper
It appears Emily is not playing today. Down to 6 scholarship players and a volleyball player today.

Just wondering what Ella Wigal's situation is. She played in 33 games at Liberty last year as a freshman. Seems like she could help a little if healthy. I understand not wanting to burn freshman redshirts.
Z.I.P.
60-36 final score. 😬 I know they're obviously personnel limited but... 4 assists, 22 turnovers. Sheesh!

Z.I.P.
Halftime. Akron 27. Toledo 27. Go figga this team!
Z.I.P.
Well, Zips wore out in the 2nd half as was predictable. Lost 75-54. Just wondering, the MAC has 2 teams with really strong records Ball State 20-5 and Buffalo 20-4. What are the odds of 2 MAC teams slipping into the NCAA tournament? The MAC is much weaker than in years past. The conference NET rating is currently 15th out of 32 D1 conferences, behind even the Big Sky, Sun Belt, and Summit Conferences, when just a couple years ago the MAC was in the Top 10. I went to the Zips game against Buffalo and was not impressed with them as I always was with Legette-Jack's teams. Has anybody else noticed Miami is now 7-5 (15-8) in the MAC in former Zips assistant Glen Box's second year? He took over a trainwreck situation. 🤔
