TennZip Posted September 18 Report Posted September 18 I sure hope that the crowd is 2,000 or larger... This group of zips deserve great fan support. Quote
fknbuflobo Posted September 18 Report Posted September 18 As a Big E conference match, this will be much more important than any of our games so far. Quote

UAZipster0305 Posted September 19 Report Posted September 19 (edited) UConn is undefeated on the season, and we've never beaten them in three previous attempts, all on the road. This should be a really good test. Wish I could listen on the radio. Edited September 19 by UAZipster0305 1 Quote
TennZip Posted September 19 Author Report Posted September 19 Chad Welker needs to tell announcer John Higgins that number 27 for the zips is Ashton Kamdem Higgins keeps calling him Roy A i guess that is his pronunciation of Royer Quote
UAZipster0305 Posted September 19 Report Posted September 19 There's 1-0. I think UConn will press the game and we'll absorb well and get another goal off a counter before it's over. Quote
TennZip Posted September 19 Author Report Posted September 19 Beautiful service from the great Ashton Kamdem 2 2 Quote
TennZip Posted September 20 Author Report Posted September 20 Tyler Morck really played extremely well in the first half. He had a greaat pass to Stefan at 26.....and the GK had to knock Stefan's shot over the cross bar Tyler had a nice shot opportunity at 25... UConn is doing everything they can...to try to get a 2nd yellow card on Ashton Kamdem. I am sure that the coaches will spend time with Ashton at half time. As I have said in the past, Ashton Kamdem is the best left back in the Big East. Tremendous player. 1 Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted September 20 Report Posted September 20 How in the world was that offsides? Quote
UAZipster0305 Posted September 20 Report Posted September 20 Well, I was quite wrong. I couldn't watch. Did we have a poor second half, or did UConn just step it up? Are they really as good as the result indicates? Other than goals, the stats appear in our favor. Quote

fknbuflobo Posted September 20 Report Posted September 20 Ouch! UCN is good, but this loss really hurts. Very demoralizing! 1 Quote
Zip_ME87 Posted September 20 Report Posted September 20 (edited) As we know, it’s not how you start, but how you finish. Our players need to figure out how to get the ball in the net. Emil is gone; others need to step up and take the responsibility when it’s there rather than passing it off. Hopefully, our team learns from this one and gets back on track v St Louis and our remaining BE schedule. Hurts to lose at home but lots of opportunity remains. Edited September 20 by Zip_ME87 Quote
Z.I.P. Posted September 21 Report Posted September 21 A friend told me the Akron first half goal was Sports Center Number One Play of the day. Anyone else catch that? Quote

Anyone else catch that? Your friend....was correct.....that a play from the UConn vs. Akron was number 1..... Alas, it was not an Akron goal.... ESPN pays tribute to the UConn GK 1 Quote
